Having control as end game pvp is dumb. I'm sorry it makes no sense. Control in general takes 0 skill and is just a kill fest. You can be absolutely terrible and win 5 games in a row or you can be God like and lose 5 games in a row. Am I the only.one who.feels this way?

I find whoever controls 2 zones for the longest time will win the game. But in IB, no one can get carried. Everyone has to do their job correctly
-
It should be a 12 man rumble but then again oh god the spawns but that doesn't matter seeing as I already spawn in the same spot with someone... >:(

1 ReplyIf you play with a full team of 6 using chat and working together with strategy you can easily beat any idiots running around like chickens with their heads cut off. At that point it takes skill.
-
1 ReplyYep I get you. Iron Banner should have other game types like Rumble, Skirmish, Clash etc. The only reason it doesn't have any new game types is cause it would be far too easy to rank up Iron Banner rep since Control usually takes more time than other game types. Gotta keep up the illusion that people like playing Destiny and not make it seem like an endless grind.

I stopped reading at "end game pvp".
-
2 RepliesWhat do you suggest then if you don't like that
-
I love control. Clash sucks because everyone just camps with snipers which leaves skirmish or rumble which is not an option. Also it is a game mode that is objective based so everyone can contribute even with a low K/D. Iron Banner is not endgame content.
-
Iron banner is not end game content at all, end game happens close to max level, and since you can compete as low as level 20, its not end game
-
1 ReplyI don't know if you're the only one who feels this way by I do know you definitely are a year late on the whining It's been that way for the whole time
-
1 ReplyI am pretty darn good a t pvp and lost 8 times In a row but at the same time having at least 20 kills per game

1 ReplyEdited by TeKnoVKNG23: 6/3/2015 2:51:07 AMIt is the easiest game mode for common players to understand. Iron Banner was originally going to be what Trials of Osiris is in terms of difficulty and elite level PVP, but then a ton of casual players screamed and cried that it wasn't fair only PVP'ers could get the gear and weapons so Bungie neutered the level difference gap in terms of power so that the casuals could get carried and/or grind long enough to exchange medallions so they could get the Iron Banner gear. This was pretty evident today. I went in to screw around as a 29 thinking I'd get crushed, but there were 34s going sub 0.50 k/d every match. You can spot the PVE'ers pretty easily and I was still able to kill 34s fairly easily still being a 29. There is no level difference in Iron Banner, Bungie nerfed it to hell so that the casual players could participate. I'm not the best at PVP, but really wish Iron Banner was a rotating playlist, like switching up every match. One match you play control, then clash, then rumble, then skirmish, then salvage, etc. and it would rotate through them all to provide a much more well rounded experience. In terms of the OP....I figured you'd have a much higher k/d for what you're complaining about in terms of people not being good and control taking 0 skill.

Control is the best pvp mode in this game.
-
I enjoy it a lot. It doesn't have that super intense competitive feel to it..but it's definitely something I enjoy doing. Plus, this was when destiny first came out. Before bungie took as many ideas from the community.
-
It's not an end game pvp. Its mid one lol
-
Play with a full team then the main reason a good team loses is because that one person grabs the third objective and swaps spawns and then you get shot in the back (besides skill is indicated from kills) I played a game with 5 friends and 1 random all 5 of us had over 10 kills (top 2 were 20 & 15) and we lost because of the 1 random with 0 kills and who knows how many deaths since it doesn't show in Control and the kill fest depends on the map as well like Cauldron that map is constant spawn swapping and TERRIBLE for Control.

2 RepliesIn the terms of most PvP elitist that troll these forums who treat us all to an exceptionally limited and dyslexic vocabulary... git gud scrub. In all seriousness, I love Iron Banner... Long live Lord Salad shooter!
-
4 RepliesThe issue with control is the vast majority of players don't know what to do. Like Shores of Time. When you have B & C you dont go get A. But team after team does it and then losses like idiots. May maps are played that way. If you see how close 2 zones are then hold them and kill the enemy. Its that easy.
-
Uh yeah. Kills in an FPS are indicative of skill. That's shocking I know.

End game pvp? I feel trails of Osiris holds that title better
-
Iron Banner has been around, and it's been a way to get end game level gear for a while now. Why you complaining about this now...?
-
Are you this arrogant in real life?
-
I always thought iron banner would make more sense to be clash instead of control
-
Edited by Sarigan: 6/3/2015 12:12:50 AMI agree, iron banner should bring with it the entire pvp playlist, just with iron banner rules. That would be fantastic. Shame everyone here is flaming you. Try writing less polarizing posts next time you make a suggestion.

2 RepliesIron banner rumble with no fireteams would be awesome.
-
What game type would you suggest then?
