I really don't see the beneficial uses for blink strike aside from the perks associated with it. But what does blink strike actually do besides give a different melee animation? If there is a range boost associated with the lunge it's honestly very slight and doesn't necessarily aid you in any way in particular. I understand why hunters don't get a OHKO melee aside from backstab but because the radar will alert you to an enemy from a fair amount of range it almost makes backstabbing useless in PvP. I just personally think that blink strike should at the very least teleport you behind an enemy (not proccing backstab) but just so there's some actual benefits with it. Edit: let me clarify, I'm fully aware of the uses for pve. However this post is mainly referring to the pvp aspect of the game.
