Does anyone else actually enjoy Key farming?
I actually like farming Keys, I don't know why. It's not hard, and you get a ton of Engrams and Syntheses.
And spawns only take 7-10 minutes, so you can easily get a ton of chances if you farm the right spots.

I like the ships coming in and dropping lots of harder enemies. That's a cool fire fight. I [b]hate[/b] the ether chest being hidden and the time limit. And the time between spawns. And the poor reward for completing.

Well The OG Key Farming is over now. Let's hope the higher drop rate actually works.

I always preferred to get my keys through lvl28 Prison of Elders. Love the new update

Cant do it anymore. Only open the chest Once per spawn. So after doing thr three Venus chests you have to leave and come back I think. It doesn't really say.

4 RepliesMy opinion of key farming is this: 1. It's tedious, but it can also be fun. 2. Empty out as many weapons and armor peices you want and work on upgrading others. 3. Pick up easy patrol bounties along the way to rank up your desired faction, because let's face it. Farming keys takes forever. Lastly my only problem with it really is this: what are we to do with all of the damn tokens we get. The tokens we are getting now are going to turn out to be like the commedations. IMO the ships are bland and all the same, and the shades aren't that impressive. So that's raises the question as to what are we supposed to do with the various types of tokens we get? I think bungie should implement a way to were if you had x amount of each token you could turn it in for a key.

1 ReplyI just use it as a chance to try new weapons until the wolves come around. Trick shots with Truth, P&T sniping, space cop with Vestian Dynasty, and other things.

It's one of the easiest and fastest ways to level up the Cryptarch.

i don't mind the farm..i actually like it that there are areas like skywatch where you can always find a couple of guardians who have the same goals as you.. the only thing that makes me hate it is that after spending hours at it..i didnt get a single treasure key..this farm is best for ranking up cryptarch and getting synths for invective bounty..its so not for treasure key

To me the Keys are just bonus items for the real loot: Legendary engrams. Im building a set of Fear Eater armor entirely from scratch with a totally different perk and stat set than the one Cayde is offering, right now i have Gauntlets with Handcannon loader, a chest with Pulse Rifle and Fusion rifle bonus ammo, and 2 sets of boots one with Pulse bonus ammo one and one with Auto rifle. Way better method for farming loot than running even dragon strikes, i get between 4 and 7 blues with the rare Legendary EVERY time a Wolfpack goes hunting in Skywatch and even MORE if the loot chest drops by the far door.

I like doing those events, period. Couldn't care less about getting keys.

I only think it's fun because if you go on the Vault of Glass from the beginning (on any difficulty) and you and your team can just go to The Citidel or Ember Caves and Key farm with a 6 man team. To be honest, I wish we could do six man patrol on Earth or the Moon because key farming would be better

We do 6 for "Vault of Glass" and then ride to the Citadel/Ember Caves and farm. It's fun!

As being a kid with limited playing time, I hate key farming! It's repetitive and boring and a waste of my time. I love destiny's gameplay and multiplayer but absolutely [i]despise[/i] the rng! I've bought almost all my exotics from xur. Which is why I think treasure keys should be non rng. Trade tokens in for them. 3 tokens equals one treasure key.

Hate it takes hours for one key and end up with loads of ammo I can't dismantle pretty shitty

1 ReplyIt's fun and a good way to collect engrams too. I just hop on a character that needs new/cooler armor and farm while I watch Futurama (currently on season 7). Good way to chill out and have a good time while getting something done.
