I couldn't get through it. It ended my run of playing assassin's creed games for over 2 years. Now, finally I've got over the bad taste in my mouth and picked up black flag and am absolutely loving it.
I can't place why I hated 3. Any insights?

Edited by MightyJonE: 6/2/2015 3:38:23 PMI played some of it at the time - it was clunky, tedious, dull, including some outdated and overly restrictive mission design. It was a million miles away from the true freedom, expressed in the first game, that could've been built upon and refined, but has instead become abit lost and diluted I believe unity was somewhat of a return to more player freedom in the missions, but the game was such a mess that I gave up on it by time I got to Paris

it wasn't a bad game IMO (I bought it primarily because me and the protagonist have the same real name lol), but it paled in comparison to the awesome AC Brotherhood. 4 was fantastic though, spent more time being a pirate than an assassin. screw the Templars that ship has over 100 Rum on it!!

because they are just a simpel reskin? and that is why yearly releases turns out bad.

2 RepliesBecause assassins creed games are all the same. If you've beaten one you've essentially beaten the entire series without wasting hours of your life to spend on good games. :)

I could barely finish it as well. Stopped and didn't play it for a year, then finished it about a month before AC 4. Luckily AC4 was tons better than Ac3. Assassin's Creed 3 was shit, shit gameplay(clunky), shit characters, shit story, shit environment and the crappy ass naval warfare bullshit.

Because anything after Brotherhood kind of sucks.

To me it was the change of controls, and that hide and seek section, and that half of the game was spent not being the guy they advertised

You're bad taste will return when you play unity!

Three was the worst game in the franchise by far. Doesn't do the ac name justice.

I liked AC3 personally. Don't get me wrong , it has its flaws, but I thought it was fun and compelling.

3 RepliesBecause you couldn't handle the development of Connor

By far my favorite one.

You hated 3 because of the hype of the gaming media over it being in america. I hated 3 because of the inability to climb trees properly, like that crap annoyed the living piss out of me. But the introduction of the rope dart made the game fun to beat.

I'd
bang
AC3 for weeks non-stop.

4 Is great. I never had 3. I kind of like 5. However it is way to easy if you do "the heist" over and over again
-
4 RepliesHow far did you get? I had a really hard time getting into it, but I'm loving it now that I'm further in.

1 ReplyEdited by ScribeofMischief: 6/1/2015 10:59:52 PMMaybe, because you suck at hide and seek?
