Apparently the people behind the God-awful Transformers and Deadpool game have taken over development so Bungie can work on Eververse.
I guess Activision didn't like what Bungie was doing.

6 RepliesEdited by Cooler: 6/1/2015 7:05:29 AMThey have a 10 year 4 title contract w/dlc's. It looks like eververse has more to do with graphic novels and audio books than anything else.

Bungie are still working on Destiny, the Comet expansion and Destiny 2. They just need additional manpower. I guess that's an advantage to working with a publishing house as big as Activision.

pretty sure they're getting help since they're working on destiny 2 and stuff

They're not taking over. They did CoD AW and transformers for last gen consoles. They didn't create the games. From what I read it just looks like bungie is making a bigger staff to handle what destiny needs.

http://m.ign.com/articles/2015/05/28/transformers-developer-working-on-destiny Article. They're "helping" with Destiny, I guess. Check this out though:
High Moon Studios handled both the Xbox 360 and PS3 versions of Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare, so they know their way around triple-A first person shooters. The job listing is for a Mission Designer, with one of the requirements for the position being a passionate familiarity with the Destiny franchise. Listed as "bonus skills" for interested applicants are experience with cooperative mission design and open-world design experience.
Clearly, High Moon is being brought on to give Destiny more content. Which is awesome because this game severely lacks content.
