It's all about the tactics... Personally I dont like thorn its aim isn't true in my experience... I use last word if I'm rushing or as for this week I'm using vex for midrange play because the map is more open... But the tactics are what win me and my team the games... Making sure you have a flanker is important... Callouts are important... Getting to the dead orbs before revives can be made is important... The guns are just one tool of many to ensure a win.
