PLEASE HELP STOP THIS! Played ToO last week with [REDACTED] and [REDACTED], had fun then connections got pretty bad and opponents started dropping out. I figured due to overloaded servers...I had never heard of lag switching before, dont care for that kind of behavior and dont have a hacked xbox. Apparentky KPAS was using some kind something to cause our opponents to lag and we won. He never told us about his filthy hack; I would have left I knew that. BUNGIE IS BANNING ANYONE THAT PLAYS ToO WITH A HACK!!! This is poor!!! Please help stop bungie banning the wrong people!
@Bungie: I am a professional firefighter in NH and am built on intengrity. I fell in love with Destiny the moment I played back in Sept and I am so disheartened by your actions. I beg you to reconsider your decision. I dont care if you remove the rewards and grimoire I recieved but please dont take Destiny away from me.
Respectfully,
RedhookRaider

1 ReplySo there are Account Restrictions and Bans in Destiny - these are two separate entities. Account Restrictions are temporary, while Bans are permanent. Bungie does not dispute or overturn either of them. All the details you need can be found at their official policy here. I got it!! Don't play PvP and you won't get banned.
-
It all comes down to how well you knew that person, and why you would allow him to pull you down to his level. It's a shame that it happened to you, but you rode with that boy into battle, and now you gotta take your medicine.
-
Wow! I guess the only way to avoid having this happen is to NOT play pvp. I really wanted tOo stuff but to me the risk is not worth it!!! Neither is being ninja'd by some hacker/cheater!

4 RepliesI feel your pain but guilty by association is still guilty. You should know that. It just means your punishment should be a little less. You did benefit from it. What rewards did you get? You should loose them too. Everyone knows about lag switching. You claim to have integrity but think you did nothing wrong. Integrity means doing the rite thing even tho it may have consequences. You were part of a team that cheated period.

4 RepliesThe point of this is so other people dont get banned like this. Id like to see Bungie ban the hackers and at most just discipline anyone that could be considered "guilty by association." Banning honest players will bitter the Bungie and Destiny Community.
-
2 RepliesRed: Though it sucks if you truly didn't use it. I agree with Bungies policy. It is just like the law, guilty by association. The only thing I don't agree with is not being able to over turn it. There should be a way for ppl who truly are innocent. Sometimes it is so hard to know if ppl are lag switching or if it is just the servers. I hit one match we were all red. First three rounds. But the last 3 were all green. If it was a ban, well, only way around it is a new console.

3 RepliesI am in the same boat as you RedhookRaider. Bungie doesn't seem to have the ability to ban the actual person who is doing the lagswitch but rather ban the entire fire team. The sad part for me is that I just don't play PvP like that. And trials is definitely out of my league. A friend of mine is really good and I let him play for me and unfortunately he had someone on his team who was causing the other players to lag. My friend main account is not banned and he ran flawless trials all the time (hence why I let him play for me). If he was the one cheating he would have been part of the bandwagon. I just hope bungie can reconsider for ppl like you and I. I fell in love with the game the minute I started playing the demo (first FPS too to really grab my attention). For the very first time I let someone use my account and I get a glorious ban. 95% of my time is spent in PvE and that's where I am good at. Like you said, bungie can take out whatever rewards I have gotten out of trials. I don't care about PvP like that, they can take it away for all I care. Just let me go back to my PvE.

2 RepliesDon't believe you. Glad you got banned. I hope it's permanent. You sicken me.
-
3 RepliesIf you notice you are lagging out and are winning you should have left. I'm sorry but I agree with the ban. You participated with the hacker to win.
-
1 ReplyDon't worry about it. This game is falling apart so fast. Won't be long before it craters.

3 RepliesEdited by bug killer 160: 5/31/2015 2:54:29 PMI say been bungee should ban any mother f***** that is too big of a pussy to play the game right and his stupid friends f*** it ban his ****** family too. (Good job bungie)

3 RepliesThank you for your service, my FIL was a firefighter. Y'all have my utmost respect, for getting kittehs outta trees! ;) I wouldn't even know what a lag switch looks like, but I've played and been lagged out so hard. Ugh
-
2 RepliesRedhookraider, I think I might have played with you before...
-
4 RepliesBungie does not reverse nor do they discuss bans period. But even if you inadvertently benefited from someone cheating/using a lag switch, you still benefited. That is unfortunate but if you noticed someone glitching out, LEAVE THE PARTY. Just suffer through your ban and take it as a learning experience.

1 ReplyI'm sorry to hear that man, but even if you didn't know your teammate was using lagswitch , what stops other people from saying the same thing fully knowing that it was happening, I'm sorry to say man, but I don't think this will get reversed!
