Rocket launchers - velocity vs blast radius
What is better to boost with perks, the blast radius or velocity? I've always assumed that velocity is the power of the blast and the radius is the size, not sure if that's true or not but I've always been unsure on which one to focus more on when it comes to upgrading. Any help would be appreciated, thanks.

The best perk depends on what you want it for. Velocity is better for pvp as they'll have less time to dodge. Blast radius is better for pve where you're just looking to wipe out swarms of enemies.

2 RepliesVelocity is how FAST the rocket flies towards your target, very important in PVP. Blast radius is how BIG the explosion of the rocket is, valuable in most situations, but the average launcher already has decent radius. Faster Reload is good on any launcher. The Best launchers should have two rockets per clip at least. More raw firepower and reserve ammo. Overall i recommend higher velocity. It makes hitting moving targets easier. Also, stability is almost useless on launchers, so feel free to take perks that hurt the stability if it gives you more velocity, reload, and/or blast radius.

Blast radius is more important for mob clearance in pve. However velocity is usually the better perk for single targets like atheon and Crota. It's also the more important stat for pvp as opponents are less likely to dodge faster rockets. Also the general rule of thumb is you want proximity on pvp rocket launcher. Tracking on pve launchers.

Most rocket launchers have either good blast radius or good velocity whichever one is lacking you must level up. If a rocket launcher has neither good velocity not good blast radius I wouldn't recommend levelling it up.

I'd say velocity. Especially in PvP.

In terms of what's more important, I'm not really sure. Both are important tbh. Which ever has a lower base stat would be the one I would focus on buffing.
