After my experience with the skolas encounter I came upon an interesting question, which I created a poll around: what percentage of the skolas encounter do you think involves:
1: Sitting around for 5-10 minutes in airlock for ammo synth cooldowns or
2: "playing" the encounter in order to kill adds for ammo, doing no damage to Skolas himself.
Personally I think roughly 75% of player time against skolas (maybe even this week's 34) is sitting in the airlock waiting for ammo. I would love to see Bungie's player stats, including average number of attempts before completion, time spent until completion, and number of players who play until skolas only to disband without a checkpoint to go back to because those are the numbers of player frustration: being penalized upwards of 10 minutes in order to even have a shot of beating the encounter again is demoralizing at best and rage inducing at worst.
Remember: voting doesn't bump a thread so if you care about this leave a comment.

Well over 75 percent takes anywhere from 5-10 minutes pending on your fireteam and supers only to rush out and have him teleport right in front of you and cause a wipe. I'm all for challenging endgame but I'm more for enjoyment and satisfaction not a boss fight that requires a borderline spawn kill because of the difficulty of the entire fight
