Can bungie tell the differents between real lag and lag switched lag?

Most of the time i have non laggy games but once in a while i might have a match that kicks me for weasel which then results in high packet loss but im just wondering if they can tell im actually lagging not cheating? Before i lag out, it can sometimes make my team red bar and i can sometimes get a laggy kill before fully disconnecting, can bungie tell its real lag? Or will they think im cheating?

  • Hey Rehz! There is an easy way to tell whether somebody had genuine internet lag or is deliberately making themselves lag as an advantage. If someone is lagging the entire game, with no pauses in-between the lag, it is genuine lag. However, if a person is lagging across a map, stops lagging, kills you, and then continues to lag after the kill, they are using a "lag switch". If you have any more questions, feel free to reply to this comment. Hope this helps! -LiveForAnarchy

    • No, they can't. They can't do a single thing about it. That's why trials is so messed up.
