As I was playing Halo 3 online, I have come across Wriaths in some stages such as Valhalla. Some people would normally plant a bomb on it, punch it, or just shoot at it. I however have noticed that when I shoot or throw bombs that stick (such as plasma grenades and spike bombs) in the fan on back of the Wriath, It would be destroyed faster. As for the scorpion, i do the same with the vent-like thing on the back of it. Would these be possible weak spots. Please reply telling if you agree or not and why. Do you know any other vehicles that may have weak spots?

The plasma exhaust at the center rear of a Wraith is really vulnerable. As for Scorpions aim for the driver's hatch. Nearly always fatal if the laser or rocket hits directly there.
-
The hatch on Scorp is it.
Posted by: chief master29 im not sure about the scorpion, but if you punch the wraiths fan 3 times it blows up.
^^^ The vent on the beck that start flaming when it blows up or is really damaged.
-
I don't know about the Scorpian but usually when I shoot at a Wraith I aim for the back. Not only does this destroy the tank quicker, but the Wraith actually cannot fire on you if you are on it's 6.
-
i heard their main weakness was for bananas.
-
Okay, I just did some messing around in forge: the weak spot on the Scorpion is not on the vent on the back. It's on the treads, but only after the cover for it has been removed. The results are not nearly as dramatic as on the wraith weak spot, but it is weaker still Warthog: the wheels, but this only applies with stickies, and if no one is in it, it always dies with one sticky.
-
I think that the Warthog weak spot is the wheels. It makes sense that it would.
-
front wheel well of the warthog, stick it there, and BLAM! it goes asplode!
-
What actually happened to the Ghost's weak spot? In Halo3 the gas tank has no effect, to my knowledge at least.
Posted by: Ryskillz101 This is relatively old, but let me enlighten you. In Halo:CE, this was discovered, and yes, they are actual weak spots, and not random luck. And also, there are some spots on other vehicles that are weaker, but I will not reveal my tricks. =)
the gas-tank-like-thing on the ghost

Just jump and stick.

Yes, indeed, both the Wraith and Scorpion tanks do indeed have weak points along the rear portion behind the occupant canopy. I have found that when destroying the Wraith the easiest and most simple way to remove the vehicle from play is to avoid the arched shots from the tank and destroy the Wraith from behind via bashing the back vent panel. Saves ammo and is a quick way of sure destruction. As for the ghost I found that removing that vehicle from play is far easier when you possess a plasma or spike grenade and just wait for the rider to attempt a splatter. Just jump and stick. I kind of knew about the Ghost's gas tank but wasn't sure of it. For the Warthog, I been throwing plasma grenades at the back bumper of it. It usually flips the enemy but doesn't blow them up. (unless its low on health) Its great if you want to kill the enemy then drive away with the car. Could this be another weak spot? Ithinks so.

I figured this out when there were two enemies getting alot of kills online. They blew almost everyone up that tried to plant a bomb on them. I was in a ghost staying right in back of them so I wouldn't get blown into a million pieces. They kept on driving in circles trying to catch me. I then noticed the fan when they hit the nitro boost. I just started to shoot at it because it was my only choice and before I knew it, I saw two dead guys flying out of a flaming Wriath and landing on my ghost.
-
You can take out a Wraith by shooting it in the back with a BR if it is open enough. And let me tell you there is nothing more satisfying than killing a guy in 20 ton war machine than with your flimsy rifle.
-
uh ya duh....
-
these are weak spots and are effective if you can get a good shot firing a banshees gun at these spots will take it out alotquicker than in the front
-
Yes, they're both weak spots. The Ghost has one too. Along the two areas where the speed boost comes out from is its weak spot. I'm not sure if any other vehicles have weak spots though.
-
I've noticed that the Wraith goes down much faster if that little fan is destroyed. Hmm... As for the Scorpion, I haven't seen a weak spot yet. (Maybe because I fight Wraiths, not Scorpions.)
-
1 to 2 plasma grenade in the vent of the Wraith will destroy it. 3-4 punch will destroy it 1 plasma sword slash will destroy it.
-
The wraith weak spot is well know, and has been for as long as i can remember. It's a pretty major weak point, because you can kill it with a magazine or two of BR ammo (assuming perfect accuracy).
-
I seen this is the first Halo. It's been know for a while now. Kinda sucks for you that you're just now finding this out because those tanks are easier to kill using those spots. (don't forget about the "fuel tank" on the side of the Ghost)
-
im not sure about the scorpion, but if you punch the wraiths fan 3 times it blows up.
-
the wraith has a spot on the back that if u hit it or sticked or even shoot it it will blow off is like the engine for it and as the scorpion idk
-
this should be on halo 3 mythbusters!!
