Solution to lighthouse issue?
So based off these posts everyone here has mixed reactions about getting in to the lighthouse. So I propose a solution. (If I missed something or it was already implemented/the issue just politely tell me and I apologize) How about getting flawless gives you say a key to the chest in the lighthouse? Using said key allows you to get the rewards. But if you didn't go flawless but got at least a win or so you could get in but not have access to the loot. If you lost three games then you would not be granted access then have to win another to get back in.

Edit:the "issue" I seem to have saw was that some guardians who lost the trials were complaining it was unfair how they didn't make it so i am just proposing this solution. It also appears that some people only want the loot but that's only the select few I hope

3 RepliesThere is no solution to the lighthouse because there is no problem with it, people being upset about not being able to get there based on their crucible skills with other players is the correct response. If all content was simply handed out, there would be no reason to strive at being better, it would simply be another grindy slog to get to another location with the option at loot. People will complain at not being handed something, about not being given an equivalent in POE, this is a good thing, it makes the Trials a special place, PvP now has something to aspire to and obtain, before it was simply grind, grind, grind in numberless matches for literally no other reward than the promise of victory, Iron Banner had no challenge, no learning curve, it was simply more grind, more grind, more grind with the promise of loot as an addition to victory. In Trials, we have a reward for playing better, for finding players that mesh well with us, for using weapons that have the express purpose of winning. Trials gave the PvP community in destiny something it never had before, a reason to improve, a reason to play with others, a place where players could figure out what it took to win, not another grind, but a place where victory could be shown off. The Lighthouse is the first step in giving dedicated PvP players a real place to shine in Destiny, I can only hope more Crucible modes and rewards are added in like Trials and the Lighthouse so that the PvP community can evolve as a whole, that strategies to win are discussed, set ups to use can be tested in a mode where winning is not only the objective, but the whole reason for playing. The Lighthouse was never a problem, it was the first solution required of many to ensure PvP in destiny could grow as a whole.

3 RepliesThere is literally NO issue with the Lighthouse as it stands. The only people who are butthurt are people who can't get in, or know they're not good enough to ever get in at all. People are acting like something stellar and incredible is being denied to them. No. It's just there to give you a chest and be a cool place to chill for top level PvPers. People are only interested in all inclusive access BECAUSE it's exclusive access. Get the -blam!- over it. Goddamn this shit is annoying. I'd rather listen to people b i t c h about the Thorn. By the way, this is coming from a player who has not been to the lighthouse yet. I haven't even played more than 3 games of elimination actually. It's not that serious. Stop proposing fixes to something that isn't broken or even relevant.

2 RepliesThe only interest I have in the lighthouse is the guaranteed elemental primary. Make 35 Poe a guaranteed elemental primary drop rather than an RNG chance at one and I've no problem with never getting to the lighthouse

Why? I won't even bother going there again... Beside the solar hand cannon and warlock New exotic chest i only got crap... Not worth the effort (i know that for some it is easy to get there, but not for me lol)
