Average Bungie Employee's Salary
Hey guys. It's getting that time of year where i have to start thinking of colleges. I'm a junior in high school and i'm thinking about majoring in animation. I already have been working with Autodesk Maya for 2 years and i really enjoy it. My parents don't feel i will be able to make a living with this job. Does anyone have any clue what the average salary would be?
Other then that, does bungie offer internships?

Probably just starting salaries, that Arete 7 thing. Lukems, for example, probably only makes 60 Gs a year, or less. [Edited on 11.14.2008 3:22 PM PST]

They get paid in house&board, an old creaky apartment and stale bread with leftover dog food on the holidays, water is found dripping down the unseeled basment walls. But seriously they don't get much more than the average Joe, they do nothing special, they are just normal people who might have a rather enjoyable job. This is a pretty personal question and since 70-75,000 is the average then they might start at 50 and could go up to 100+ depending on their role in the process. The people who hold the rights probablly are pretty happy that the Halo series was a hit, they would recive the major cash flow as well as Microsoft but its a LLC so we don't really know.

They get paid almost as much as the mods. JK In all honesty we don't really know the starting salary, and even if we did, it probably varies from person to person based on experience and qualifications. Like I doubt the testers chained to the desks in the basement make as much as Marty. It's all relevant to the individual. No matter what though, I'm sure you'll be making more than enough to live comfortably if you do get the job. Enough to buy your mom nice Christmas and Mothers Day gifts anyways.

Gaming Programmers don't always make a considerably large payroll. Bungie is a slight exception with it's massive revenue, however there are other branches of programming that can pay better. Almost all of them require knowledge and look for degrees.

Working at Bungie would be so awesome I would work there for free. I believe it does say they offer "competitive wages" on the main jobs page so they must be fairly high.

I'm also fairly certain (at least, according to [url=http://www.bungie.net/Inside/jobs.aspx]this page[/url]) that they get profit sharing and some pretty rad benefits. Also, they get 20 paid days off, which is nothing to complain about. Of course, the best part of the job has got to be the free snacks. Edit: And treats! [Edited on 11.13.2008 4:23 PM PST]
