It's cool that people who are great at PvP and kick everyone's butt can get their exclusive social space on mercury after proving their badassery in Trials of Osiris. It's also cool they get ToO gear and weapons. What's less cool is that they also get primaries with elemental damage. Actually, that's not cool at all. Maybe in Bungie's mind it's supposed to motivate me to become good at crucible. What it really does is discouraging me from playing. I am not good at crucible. I never will be. And without Optional Matchmaking I'm not even getting into the Osiris. Therefore I'll never get a primary weapon with elemental damage. Unlike those people. Despite the fact that I paid same amount as them for the game. Fine. When is Halo 5 coming out?

You could also sign up for someone's twitch stream who is great at PvP, "donate" to them and let them carry you through trials. Just like so, so many other Guardians did last week.... I love seeing a guy with the exotic emblem in normal crucible go a whopping 0.32 in a clash round - way to show you really earned that trip to Mercury, bud (via paying someone else to get you there...)
-
Because pvp players need elemental damage right? I feel you. Apparently we need to join nerd clans to solve our problem. Either that or play something else. I will waste as much time at this point on destinylfg.com as I will in the dam game

In the description it says it's a trophy for a reason. I have scout and handcannon and they both have sucky rolls

10 RepliesWith etheric light you can just ascend the old raid weapons, which for the most part have better stats and perks than the ToO weapons
-
1 ReplySkolas treasure chest has a chance to drop elemental versions of the fallen weapons.. The only part I don't like is the 9-0 guarantee that you will receive these weapons.. Cheesing in Crota was bad .. But Crota was an AI and had no feelings .. With guaranteed loot, comes cheating .. The lag switches and error code kicking .. I think 9-0 should get you to the lighthouse but it should be RNG just like PVE .. No guarantees on loot

4 RepliesBeat the 35 prison and stop crying.

7 RepliesPoe 35 has a chance to drop elemental primaries just saying...
-
I'd be upset if it weren't for the two raids with two sets of weapons with elemental damage...how ever it is unacceptable that they made the arenas fire team only instead of a match making affair..

6 Repliesguy says hes not good a cruCible (with a c) yet asks when halo 5 is coming out... does he not know destiny pvp gameplay is the closest thing to halo you can get without risking copyright infringement in short, if your are complaining about being bad at cruCible, halo 5 will provide you no relief

1 Reply343 is making halo 5 not bungie

I'm upset that so many people already got the card on even one character. I wish I could challenge the winners on my friends list and take their spoils from them

1 ReplyMade it to the lighthouse with no lag switching. Got a void summonor. Leaves thread in crucible glory.

9 RepliesEdited by Unforgiven: 5/29/2015 3:09:08 AMI am a PVEr, but I am actually leveling a Thorn and going to do Crucible all weekend so I can get better, and do the trials. I even plan on doing Iron Banner all next week. Bungie you have forced my hand!

1 ReplyEdited by Progo: 5/29/2015 3:08:25 AMHere's my argument for giving these great primaries to PvP players, it may only apply to some, but I think it justifies this move by Bungie: I have done very little raiding compared to most of my Destiny friends, and as far as raid primaries are concerned, I only have Epilogue, mythoclast, Confluence, and lichbane. My schedule during the intense spring semester of math and science major didn't allow for long raiding sessions. So what did I play to relax? PvP. I'd get on for an hour or two, and blast away other players, just like I used to in H3, Reach, and H4. And you know what? I got pretty damn good at PvP since it's what I played. Fast forward to HoW, Trials drops, and I go flawless in the first 2 hours, and get a ballin' scout rifle with void burn! I was super hyped that I was finally earning something with the blasting and relaxing mindset I had built up in the midst of exams and homework. And the next day I nabbed an amazing void pulse rifle that's possibly better than Red Death, though that run was more challenging since I was on my hunter alt. My point is that Bungie is providing a way to get endgame gear if your play-style never matched that of dedicated raiders. Peace, Progo.

1 ReplyRaid more scrub.

1 ReplyDamn u must suck

Elemental damage does nothing in Crucible, and you can get elemental primaries from VOG and Crota Hard mode
-
2 RepliesUmmm i dont know how to tell you but you have 2 raids each offering primaries
-
2 RepliesLol never get a primary weapon with elemental damage? Did you forget about the 2 raids and PoE weapons? You'll just never get a Scholar, Messenger, Jewel, or Summoner with elemental damage.
-
You'll never e good at crucible because that's what you tell yourself. I played gears of war pvp for almost 3 months before I even started coming out positive, and I played often. If you want to be good you need to strive for it, the rest of us are. The longer you wait the better we get.
-
I don't think it has anything to do with being great at PvP. I made it with 2 of my clan mates and all 3 of us are average at best. It's more of running into teams that are worse than yours.
-
3 RepliesMaybe bosses have a small chance (like Treasure Key) dropping a single use elemental component that lets you change or add an element to any weapon once?
-
8 Repliestrials of Osiris is meant to separate the idiots and smart players so basically if you don't get there guess what side you are on

God an stop whining u bitch Lighthouse isn't -blam!-ing impossible Here 🍄 Have a participation medal before you flood the forums with your scrub lord tears

5 RepliesCrucible and Vanguard are two sides of the same coin. What do you say to those who favor crucible, and might not be good enough to do the raids? "Well, it's completely fair that you don't get this raid gear, these raid weapons, the the ability to stand in Crota's Temple, or the Queen's Treasure room. Just do well, and you get that stuff"? My point is, it can be said both ways. Bungie is trying to make crucible a viable experience in it's own right, so you can survive off it alone if you wanted to and still have the best gear. Trials is the Endgame activity for Crucible. It's absolutely fair that the Lighthouse and Elemental Crucible primaries would be locked out to those who didn't go flawless.
