[i]So basically, I had some thoughts and I'd like to share them.[/i] [b]First off[/b], if our light levels are going to be increased even more with Comet, then we are going to need even more powerful weapons. Which leads me to think, is Bungie just going to add more damage to exotics with higher light levels and tougher enemies? I hope not. [b]Here is why[/b], every tier of gear has certain damage or defense values that they cannot go under or over due to their place in the ranking system. Example: Right now exotics cant go any higher than 365 attack or any lower than (IDK how low exotic weapons can get as of HoW). So what I am thinking is that Bungie is eventually going to add another tier of gear, because I can't imagine them just constantly raising the values of the exotic tier. And not only will exotics have a limit, but legendaries will have limits to what they can do as well. Think about it, even if you had all light value 46 armor, you still could'nt even touch light level 40. With that being said, I also think that we will eventually be allowed to wear more exotics if a new tier is added. One could imagine that new said tier would have somewhere around 52 light value in order to be stronger than exotics. You know how exotic armor pieces only really upgrade existing subclass abilities? What would make the new tier awesome is what the armor and weapons would do. if you had a certain [b]Cosmic[/b] armor piece you would get a new ability according to your subclass, making you even more unique than someone with an exotic. Or if its a [b]Cosmic[/b] weapon then it has an alternate firing mode, basically putting two guns into one. The way you would attain [b]Cosmic[/b] gear would involve saving up about 10 Etheric light(Which could take 1+ months to get if you only did PoE) in order to buy a Cosmic engram. These engrams have a very good chance to be 2 exotics, but you still have a decent chance to get Cosmic. [b]OR[/b] Bungie will just be simple and let us ascend everything we have now to level whatever. But then that means legendaries that can go to light value 52, and thats just insane. [b]IDEAS[/b] ([i]Post your own[/i]) > New tier could be called something like [b]Cosmic[/b] or [b]Ascendant[/b] > Background color could be [b]Black[/b] or [b]Red[/b] > New tier could be completely [b]Unique Weapon Types[/b] like a [b]Solid Beam Canon, Grenade Launcher[/b], or a [b]Tactical Bow[/b] > New tier could have [b]More Upgrades[/b] per weapon ([i]Hence, more damage[/i])

  • I'd rather them just keep the level cap at 34? I much prefer applying the character I have now to a new scenario rather than completely over-hauling everything about him :/ and when you think about it, this would push for a better quality product. Atm people grind through PoE, people originally ground through the Raid, mainly to get the higher-level gear. If the gear was still the same level, the pressure would be on the developers to give us something that we [i]want[/i] to play, rather than something that we [i]have[/i] to play. Don't get me wrong, I enjoy the Raid and PoE is good enough but it isn't my favourite thing to do in the game

      What Bungie should have done first was not remove the damage or defence nodes on items. Secondly; they needed to have a 2nd and separate page of nodes on each and every item. A)The first page contains everything we've seen so far; 3sight/perk/dmg/3perks/dmg/dmg/3dmg Consistently across each and every legendary item. We can leave rare and the Lower tiers missing their last nodes and/or perks like we've seen. B) the second page is made up entirely of damage/defence nodes in verticals columns of 3, and there are as many columns as there should be expansions. (Like first page but many lines of 3 nodes) more to explain below C) every weapon should; [spoiler]Start with damage stats of 230ish and Max with 300 by earning xp for the weapon and completing the first page of nodes respectively (just like we did to earn our 300guns pre-TDB) [/spoiler] every armor piece should; [spoiler]Start with its defences Pre-TDB just like the guns and Max with 30 light respectively. [/spoiler] C2) the reason for the second page is what Etheric light should have been used for. All of the nodes in each vertical line correlate to their respective DLC and there could "potentially" be almost 3-5 columns depending on Bungie's 10 year plan. [b] Etheric light should never have been used to max things straight away, only to increase the capacity and potentials of our older gear and bring it forward inline with the rest[/b] [spoiler]First 3 nodes are TDB Second set are HoW Third is Comet Fourth could be "leaked vex" Firth could be "leaked cabal"[/spoiler] [b]Depending on the item you get and the little black diamond in the corner noting which DLC it's from.. The DLC nodes on the 2nd page would already be unlocked[/b] and if you want to you wanted to unlock more nodes you need etheric light. Once you have a) maxed the first page and b) used etheric light to unlock the nodes you want and c) earned enough experience points for the nodes, you could then purchase those nodes and ascend any gun from 272-392 or armor piece from 30light all the way to 48/50 light. [spoiler]i can math it out to say 48 light see'ing as each piece has only every needed to increase in 3 light (12total) for each light level we get closer to cap. 30light = lvl30 36light = lvl32 42light = lvl34 48light = lvl36 54light = lvl38 Lastly 60light =lvl40(probly befor Destiny2) [/spoiler] What does anybody think?
