I've got motes coming out of my ears and plenty of glimmer. However, I have pretty much zero weapon parts. I think this was a oversight. Now I'm right back to the "I can't do anything because I have too much___ and not enough____"....

I now have 20

Me and all materials

Had 800 before dlc. I now have 10
-
4 RepliesHow many did you have how long ago?
-
You should stick with decent perks if you are rolling but don't press you're luck
-
I'm always low on weapon parts, but I upgrade 3 of everything for each of my characters. I just need to farm some ether chests to get blue engrams to get my stock back up.
-
Ha! Good one.

1 ReplyI rerolled my Efrideet's Spear earlier and it took nearly 200 rerolls to get what I was after. Each of those took three weapon parts. I used 600 weapon parts just on rerolls! I then nearly deleted all of my remaining ones instead of some excess Spinmetal. All 1,200 of them! That would have meant I would have had to dip into my other characters weapon parts. They only have around 3,000 between them! In answer to your original question, no, I am not running out of weapon parts!
-
I'm all out of Weapon Parts...
-
30 left! Had 1,000
-
1 ReplyHave over 500. I'd give them to you if I could as I'll never get rid of them
-
I have well over 3000
-
Yep. They should sell weapon parts and class mats for marks.
-
Before the dlc I never dreamed it was possible but now I'm out.
-
Aye. I have more than enough special ammo though..
-
I have 19 motes, 300 weapon parts. At least I have a ton of really nasty rolls on all my guns I guess...

Edited by blades of honor: 5/29/2015 8:21:42 AMI got 2,264 on my hunter. Had around 3,500 a month ago. I'm close to having less than 100 motes. What I do is when i'm on patrol, doing missions, etc. I try to keep my weapon inventory at a minimum. Since greens don't get saved in the postmaster, thats wasted armor/weapon materials if you can't pick it up. I always grab them. Most just walk away from them lol. If you stay in certain spots on patrol & keep killing enemies, greens will eventually start dropping left & right(most are armor though sadly). Seems like since the update, green weapons drop less than they use too

2 RepliesI have like 3500. How are you people wasting them so fast?
-
One of my friends who is usually not the brightest shared the best idea. Play ToO until you can buy the weapon for 500 glimmer. Then continue to buy it and it will every time give you two or more weapon parts. Before that I had been buying engrams from the cryptarch or weapons from the gunsmith, but those costed 580 glimmer and would sometimes only give you 1 weapon part. Bump and share this so more people see!

Yep. I'm actually surprised I've ran out. However, farming those Ether chests in the Skywatch is a pretty decent way for getting more. I had 0, but now I've got about 140 from decrypting engrams and dismantling weapons.

Totally ran out as well. It's a frustrating, likely overlooked bottleneck. Sort of like that special ammo synthesis issue...
-
1 ReplyYeah, I was at 3500. Now I'm only at 3100
-
1 ReplyI ran out last night while trying to re-roll a Spare Change .25 Didn't realize it until it stopped being an option
-
3 RepliesI'm completely out, been wasting glimmer on greens to upgrade anything. Bungie needs to include these in the material exchange. I used to have 1000s
-
I ran out on Saturday :(

Same, after re rolling a load of weapons I was left with only 3. I have about 50 now
