Seriously Bungie, you can't conscionably restrict and limit access to content for the majority because you may get a bad experience with a few people along the way.
This is from my other post on the matter and I stand by it here.
It's time to make Destiny a living breathing world and like any other, there will be good and there will be bad, there will be successes and failures and we'll learn to work together or we'll learn to accept defeat. Through it all, we'll inevitably be better for what we bring to others and they bring to us.
Hear hear, Im guessing to that from the way most people are talking in favour we have a huge number of players who would be more than happy to spend some time with people they are matched up with and help them learn a mission or try out tactics. Seems us casual gamers are pretty easy going and excluding us is actually limiting the pool of experiennced players because most of us will be gettting matched up with players and helping them learn how to do the VoG that they still have never done. Its gotta be a benifit to expand the community and the player base that has completed these big Strikes and the likes, unless of course you actually want people to think that its realy hard and those that have done it must be amazing thus kepping your Elite status (you know the one that exists in your own head)

I agree that content for PoE and nightfall could and need full matchmaking along with VoG and Crota. But for Trials you can't have matchmaking. It's not because anyone is scared of a troll or some kid, it is because of the way the reward system is set. You will find people want loot and if they are matched with anyone who they think is screwing them out of loot you will find people arguing and killing themselves. Bungie has been doing pvp a long time. I believe they have done a good job so far and some forum riot isn't needed. They do need to improve things. We expect alot from them.

Dunno about that I would think that if you had matchmaking but optional. It would mean splitting the pool into matched and pre formed teams. Then the pre formed teams still play each other as they do now. Then the matched teams could play only matched teams (make it you have to be on your own to enter a matched team then everyone is solo with two other who where solo being matched against a similar team all players using matchmaking. As long as the match making is optional this would work it may mean you could be waiting a bit for a maytchmaking game but its better that the current system where we will never play it. Personally I would probably never ever play it as my net is pretty bad i only hav 215kbs internet and it just dont cut the mustard for a shooter.
