Here it is, the solution that makes everyone happy.
First part, refund 1/3 of my money along with 1/3 of the money for anyone else who can't play the end game content due to you not wanting to make optional matchmaking.
Second part, detach raids and higher level PoE from the standard game, make it purchasable going forward. Those that opt for the refund will have to repurchase later.
Third part, any future non matchmaking events need to be separate from single player and matchmaking events, essentially 2 different dlcs.
Last, separate your teams into matchmaking/non matchmaking teams so you don't get confused in the future on which dlc is for which group.
See, this makes everyone happy.
-Activision had a new revenue stream
-Bungie doesn't have to worry about coding optional matchmaking
-Those opposed to matchmaking don't have to deal with it
-Those who want matchmaking don't have to purchase it
Everyone wins.

1 ReplyOptional matchmaking is needed. Optional matchmaking is needed for Nightfall, ToO, and PoE Read this guy's post about optional matchmaking: https://www.bungie.net/en/Forum/Post/123493876/0/0 OP - @LostSols

1 ReplyIf I had known at release that content would be restricted behind idiotic requirements I would have never spent the money.
