Vault Space...Primary Frustration!
I love Destiny, but the lack of vault space is now the primary reason starting to turn me away. I want as many slots as there are weapons to collect, I want to be able to categorise and arrange those weapons and view them in any way I want, I want to create custom load-outs for PoE etc. These are not unreasonable requests.
In a game ALL about loot and creating a collection, why am I being forced to choose which weapon to delete (yes, even with 3 characters).
Bungie - please, please sort it out.
EDIT: the majority of people seem to agree. More vault space needed.

They haven't increased it again cause it supposedly puts a strain on the last gen consoles. That's what Bungie says. Hard to believe.

13 RepliesWe currently cannot have more vault space because of the previous gen communities. Previous gen consoles can only display so many images on the screen at any given time. Bungie's solution to giving vault space, without shorting those on previous gen, was to give us what we have. Previous gen can't even compare weapons or armor while in the vault if that gives you a better idea of how strained the past consoles are for running this game. Don't blame bungie, blame the previous gen.

2 RepliesBungie please allow the vault to be one big storage space instead of by category. I keep the armor on my characters so that side is empty. It's a wasted area that could be used for weapons. Smh

The recommendation has been given many times that there needs to be separate pages for weapons, armour and miscellaneous. There are three categories for weapons and 4 for armour. How hard would it be to make three pages? It'd be similar to your player menu just more item slots.

3 RepliesThere is something else they might be able to do to solve this problem... I was trying to make room in my vault yesterday and I noticed some items are stacked in groups of 20, like ammo synth. Then I noticed that I had a bundle of like 950 sapphire wire. Bundle like items in groups of 1000. Also, why isn't there a discard option for everything? They don't do anything to prevent me from discarding a ghorn if I want to. Why the hell can't I discard those damn pumpkin heads?

2 RepliesI understand wanting more space, but having enough space for every item in the game is unreasonable. No game out there would let you store every item in the game. At some point you do have to choose, but the amount of space currently is stupid. with just exotic weapons it takes up over half of the weapons.. now no one has room for the important keepers like raid weapons and now with the new weapons i feel like there is no room at all. One good thing about the expansion though is you dont need to keep every new weapon because you can just reroll certain ones to get a really good version and you wont need to keep multiple i guess.

Yep it's f'in ridiculous. I spent about an hour today going through all 3 of my characters cleaning em out and deleting secondary exotics and making space in my vault. Just another reason I'm so glad I have 3 Titans.

2 RepliesCould they not add pages or sections that you go into? I remember seeing a version of the vault someone made that had ridiculous amounts of space. Had armour/weapons/items then you clicked which one you wanted and had a couple pages for each

Edited by AKS1: 5/30/2015 3:42:11 PMI don't have my Vanquisher with Field Scout or my Super Pox VLO (which would be a monster now with the pulse rifle buff and 365 damage) because of the constant crunch for vault space. It's a ridiculous problem to have in a game that's about trying to get loot. There's just nowhere to store all the new weapons. How about an additional, larger storage container that doesn't have the app/vault swapping? I'm assuming doubling or tripling the vault size could cause significant issues for the previous generation versions. Let the vault be for weapons we use frequently and give us a second space without the other features for the stuff we want to hold onto.

1 ReplyThis has become a problem for me in the last week. I have even deleted multiple exotics like hawk moon,vex and ice breaker to make room. The added space and app helped months ago but now we need more. Collecting is one of the fun parts of grinding this game. I would love for more space or stackable items.

It seems bungie wants us to choose which guns we want and which we do not want to put us at a disadvantage. If we could keep all our weapons we would be more prepared for battles. But we can't. We have a lot. Something like 66 slots still. So many weapons that could be saved can't be. It is an artificial way to make the game tougher, like having game modes one lvl higher than our max light. Artificial difficulty.

Fair enough there are limitations but I don't want this to be one of them if possible. For those who might say I should delete gear/weapons, I don't want to and I know a lot of others who don't either.

1 ReplyIt's becoming a problem. We have new tokens/etheric light/those purple things from the queen/a million special synths The biggest thing is having to scrap new weapons. I mean, typically they're worthless but it'd be nice to hold on to most of them to try your luck rolling them one day or, for some people, to collect them all. This IS a loot driven game. Collectors are not uncommon. We need an option, even if its completely PC based, to store everything. Imagine a cloud outside of destiny that you could drop all that stuff in to. To bring it back you'd xfer it from that "cloud" back to the destiny vault then you can move it ur chars. That's a VERY simple thought and i'm code-illiterate so i'm sure plenty of other people know ways much better than that one i just pulled from thin air........gotta be a way!
