Need help killing Qodron? Try this! (No Gjally required)
Need a strat? Friends and I figured it out after an hour. Go all the way to the left. Make sure 1 or 2 people have a shotgun on them.
There is a Qodron Eye (Enhanced Goblin) that will come after you. You can't miss it, featuring he is electric.
Killing him will give you the "Jailbreak" perk that lasts 30 seconds. The person with the shotgun should kill this target so he can easily break shields. He will also break you out of your detainment shield, so you must stay together.
Sometimes you have to kill 2 Eyes of Qodron because the perk may not last long enough.
Another class is in charge of crowd control, they will kill as many goblins and Hobgoblins as they can. The other person focuses on Qodron. Once all enemies are down, they can both focus on Qodron.
Hope this helps! It's a process of rinse and repeat. Will take a while to adapt but it will work!

15 Repliesit doesn't make sense that a lvl 34 mini boss needs about the same amount of work as the lvl 35 boss skolas. urox was a cool boss because it kept you on your toes and you have to stay off the ground when he rages but for this one you have to run around with snipers that have a huge amount of health and they don't even give you that much super for killing them and then you have to kill a yellow bar goblin or everyone in the fireteam dies and you have to start over again. this is probably the most tedious and annoying boss in the game, even skolas isn't as annoying as this boss. bungie why did you make this boss so ANNOYING!

Super good advice for the win. You can break the containment and not use any heavy ammo. Just make sure you don't hit an enemy by mistake.

The team I finished it with last night also did the bunch up. One of our guys would get the jailbreak and use an ascended FoundVerdict on the shield. I was using Pocket Infinity on the shields too for that quick damage hit and we would be able to drop all 3 containment bubbles in 1-2 secs. Two of our guys were using maxed Giggityhorns and I was using a stable machine gun for crowd control.

6 RepliesI -blam!-ing love this boss, although on the way there i had to fight two other bosses, urrox included. I enjoy the challenge and even though i had to get off, I'm definitely gonna come to win. Wish you guys the best on beatin him :)

1 ReplyAs an insurance policy you can use a titan with armor of light. If you stand on the edge of the interior of the bubble you can easily shoot your bubble off with a primary weapon before losing any health.
