At this point it's honestly almost pathetic that there are still so many overpowered thorn and last word users. It's really a shame having this awesome multiplayer in our hands but then when we join matches all the opponents are rocking the cheapest, overpowered weapons in the game. I mean seriously what can you do against pistols that control both long and short range? you can't do anything if they are good enough, seriously. Now before I continue on I've straight wrecked A LOT of teams that consisted SOLEY of The Last Word and the Thorn, but I post this thread because every match that I face off against these overpowered weapon users I typically get very bored and angry with that match. There's not many guns in the game that will 1 shot you: rockets, sniper, shotgun or fusion rifle. So why does the last wrod and the thorn get a 1 second 2 shot kill? It's freaking ridiculous how a player can't even get into any good gun battles or 1v2's or 1v'3's without getting shredded by a low skill player using the last word as a crutch. It's sad and it literally drives away the more competitive players due to the fact of how cheap these guns are. The only one out of the two I would give ANY RESPECT to is the thorn and that's only because a player need to shoot someone in the head twice for a kill, but seriously after some practice anyone can do it... so let me give you a run down of the last 18 games I played while achieving my 9-0 o two different characters. every single team consisted of the thorn and last word. Yep that about sums it up and it was the most GOD AWFUL pvp experience yet. The Trials is amazing and I love how it's set up so far, but then they allow people to use these cheap weapons. It's like bungie hands us competitive players an awesome competitive playlist so we don't have to deal with the normal -blam!-ery of the crucible but then allows the cheapest of the weapons in a skill based playlist.....HAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA! like seriously! what the heck? these low skill crutch weapons are allowed in a competitive playlist? thats such a joke I can't even believe the ignorance of bungie at this point really to allow this. FOR MONTHS THE LAST WORD AND THE THORN HAVE BEEN OVERPOWERED AND FOR MONTHS BUNGIE HASN'T DONE ANYTHING AT ALL, HASN'T SAID MUCH, AND CLEARY HASN'T INDICATED THAT THEY ARE GOING TO DO ANYTHING ABOUT THIS PROBLEM. The last word seriously is WAY to powerful allowing low skill players, who haven't even grasped the concept of control, to shred upper level opponents with ease. It's saddening and maddening really, I quit playing destiny over this because bungie clearly doesn't give a -blam!- that the crucible is nearly completely controlled by 2 weapons. I know people use other weapons, I use the BJJ, but most players want to use the last word or thorn because they know how completely overpowered and cheap the guns are. A player would also think by this point BUNGIE SHOULD KNOW that these guns are controlling the crucible. SERIOUSLY the crucible should be re-named "the last word and thorn wars", The iron banner should be called the "thorn competition", and the trials of osiris should be "two thorns and 1 last word team playlist". it's pathetic and stupid at this point to allow something like this for so long and I think it really goes to show the type of attitude bungie currently holds towards the remainder of their community. I quit playing because I got tired of getting killed in under a second from a last word. That gun literally supports people so much I bet some players don't even realize it. At this point I would like to suggest Ideas for FIXING the thorn and last word, but I know it'll just fall on deaf ears. It's been months and months that all types of people have BEGGED for a NERF on the last word and thorn, but bungie sits here and doesn't do a damn thing. Even worse yet the fan base for the multiplayer can't grow because of this problem. More than likely it will actually deplete because of the fact that almost every game in crucible is a thorn and last word competition. It isn't as bad as it was say 2 months back, but it's RIDICULOUS how much damage those guns STILL DO and how often a player runs into 3 man teams all rockin the thorn in crucible. Playing against nothing but the thorn and last word seriously make for a insanely dull playing and viewing experience. Think of how little people watch destiny, then factor in the fact that when they watch destiny it's just maps and modes full of overpowered weapons. All this and combined with the fact that they haven't gotten nerfed, and probably wont, it's not going to draw anyone new into the multiplayer. Once a new player realizes 75% of the community uses the last word and thorn to carry them to victory they will soon probably realize the crucible is fun but not worth it to play. 3 months back I decided to stop playing because bungie seemed to not care or didnt' realize. I prefer to think they dont care, there's no other reason why this should be continuing on as it has so to me bungie clearly doesn't care. Then they make they users pay for ON DISC DLC and then make them put up with these PATHETIC AND OVERPOWERED WEAPONS. It's really just like a giant middle finger in all our faces. At this point I'm not sure if i'll even keep playing. The Trials of Osiris was a BLAST, but playing against opponents that used nothing but the last word and thorn just reminds me of how tragic and sad this multiplayer is. This multiplayer should be fun, should be intense, but the last word and thorn make's it absolutely no fun at all. It's no fun playing against and it's no fun for me to shred my opponent with a gun and not my OWN SKILL. Because that's all the thorn and last word are....a crutch for bad players to get kills....and it's stupid. I HOPE SOMEONE IS AS PISSED OFF AS ME AT THIS BULLSHIT.
