Your whole argument boils down to "I don't feel like I should have to use lfg sites/forums".
Get over it. It's basically no different than matchmaking. And it's ridiculously easy to use them. Just try them and you'll be hooked.

Not really. LFG is a laborious way to manually create a fire team of strangers via a third-party app. It has its uses, sure, but for PoE is essentially a band-aid for a problem which shouldn't exist in the first place.
