Anyone else think that Judgement's Rep is a bit unbalanced?
So to build reputation for Variks to get his cosmetic items, not endgame gear, just cosmetics you need to accumulate Rep like other factions, 1000 for Rank one, 3000 for Rank two and the same or more for rank three.
You gain it from completing the weekly's, doing all nets you 1000 per week for your character meaning it'll take about two months until you can acquire his shaders, that's fine I'm not expecting everything week one, but then they give us a second, unrestricted, path to build rep by doing the 28 version, but there's a problem
It's only 10 rep a round, 25 for the boss
That's just such a small amount, that's patrol mission levels of XP but this isn't a one-minute objective, without Gjallahorns or cooperation between teamates (which is to be expected in the 28 version) it can take 20-30 minutes to clear PoE, and completing it doesn't even give you House of Judgement reputation, it's Vanguard for some reason! So why is this extra rep in the game when it's so insignificant and the rewards are just cosmetics?
Also,the items are not bought with existing currency, they're brought with these new tokens which are not exchangeable (something Bungie so proudly claimed before HoW) and by the time we get to the Rep level to use them we're going have way more than we know what to do with them. I already have six tokens of identity in the first week alone without farming, that's more than enough for everything Varkis is selling.
tl:dr - I think that Judgement's Rep and currency could do with improvement

This topic NEEDS to be revisited, it's stupid how slow you rank up still. Now I know there are weapons and armor that scale and this could be used to level up quicker

10 RepliesI agree. 28 should have increased rep rewards, maybe 25 per round, 50 for the boss? 12 is pretty ridiculous and makes it not worth the time or effort.

1 ReplyI agree it takes to long. I'm a casual player bc I'm a husband father full time job and a part-time job along with college. So it will take me forever to level up. I'm still only rank 3 with Eros from dark below. How am I suppose to have the time to rank up both the queen and the judgement rep if takes to dang long. On top of that I don't have 4 hours to throw at a Poe level 34 or 35 match.

It's taken me two or three weeks to hit Rank 1. I didn't feel so much a sense of accomplishement as a sense of relief, that I had completed ONE STEP of the journey. 999,000 miles to go. Bungie, why haven't you fixed this? 10 rep per level 28 round, 25 for the boss? To repeat what FunkTheWorld said, it should be increased to 25 per round and 50 per boss. It can't be 100 per round, because that would take out a lot of the challenge. But at the moment, ranking up with Variks is like the ****ing Odyssey!

I see your point but they make it this slow so that people keep playing the game just so they can get to level three or you could play the 28 and keep grinding out the rep.. I know someone who has the ship it just takes some serious grinding to get there.

2 RepliesI have 3 tokens of flight, 2 tokens of judgment and one of the tokens for a shader...it'll be several weeks before this casual gets to spend any of them :/

As long as you do nightfall before anything else you should be fine. Doing nightfall first gives you an extra 25% exp. so you get 12 exp. per round on level 28. Not sure about final round of 32 but on 33 you get like 625 in the final round I think. Because I haven't done 35 yet I'm not sure how much you will get off of it

IMO we should be able to exchange tokens of flight, identity, and judgement for 250 rep each (312 w/ nightfall buff), the same way we can trade vanguard or crucible marks for faction rep. Let's face it, you'll never need more than a few of these tokens, let us put the extras to use.

Level 28 is matchmaking and the equivalent of strikes for rep, so that's okay

1 ReplyI think it is just busy work to keep people logging in regularly and give them some extra stuff to go for while working on getting the exotics and other stuff that drops from chests, etc. I don't have a problem with that, especial considering it is cosmetic.

Yeah but not by much, mabye 100-200 XP for a level 28 game.

with the NF buff it's like 80rep each 28 PoE run in additions the small chest drops motes and coins possible keys and tokens. so instead of waiting in the skywatch or w/e you can bypass the wait and do runs more than once all week and it means something as opposed to spamming vanguards, Its fast more varied and yields tangible rewards that aren't RNG. The trade for the removal of RNG is an increase in the time to get the loot keeps the scales relatively even.

yea when i saw the amount of rep im like WTF? by the time we unlock shaders the next DLC will drop

They could maybe have PoW giving a bit more reputation per round/completion, but other than that I think it's fine.
