MAJOR Prison of Elders GLITCH
I just finished Prison of Elders for my second time on level 35.
I finished it on my warlock last night as a level 33. I have 3 other characters, but now my warlock is a level 34. So naturally, I decided it would be easier to use my warlock to run again and then I would switch to my level 33 Titan at the end to get the rewards.
Good idea right? Wrong.
There is an error saying "unable to join fire team because their activity is almost finished. Try again soon!"
So I just wasted 2 more hours of my day...

This is no error. This is Bungie's way of preventing players from taking shortcuts. They don't want players doing the same thing they may do for Nightfalls and Raids where they play on one character and switch to another to reap the rewards.

We were at urrox yesterday at level 34 and he was halfway dead The random got disconnected and we decided to wipe so he could join back!

I did that on 34 and it told me that as well. But they have to wipe in the airlock or change the privacy. Anyways I was able to do it.

U can't join when they are doing the boss

You can switch between. Just let youre teammates wipe and the you can rejoin IF you do IT before the door to boss Room opens 😀

They learned from night falls with players switching at the last second.... they want you to enjoy and actually try, not switch and be lazy. Js don't [b]get butt hurt[/b] it's just game

If they go in the room and die and you join on that 3 second timer it works. I did it.

Glitch? No, It's designed like that for the very reason you just said and probably many others. Play on the character you want to beat it on.

1 ReplyGet them to start the boss and wipe and then you might be able to join. Worked for me randomly and that's all I did that could've changed it in my end.

Did you beat skolas and they try to join just for the rewards or did you beat everything up to skolas and then try to rejoin at skolas? I noticed when I had an LFG group that would rage quit at the final boss that me and the other guy would have to wipe and then the new guy would have to join during the loading screen after the wipe but that wouldn't work if you already beat skola and I agree with bungie a logic for implementing that as well.
