Nightfalls: agree
ToO: on the fence
PoE: 32 isnt so bad. You'd be lucky to complete a 34 with matchmade randoms and no checkpoints. You deffo need strong players for that, some of the folk I've seen in strikes wouldnt make it past the first wave.
Raids: you NEED communication. How do people know when the relic holder is taking down the templars shield? How do people know who is going into which portal during the gatekeeper? How do people know who is running sword and when they want Crota to be downed? With the overwhelming silence that infests matchmade activities in this game, this is why I think MM for raids would fall flat on its face.
Do let me close by saying that I am all for endgame activities being made more accessible, which is why I've been playing Sherpa in recent weeks (I've neglected that in the wake of HoW though)

Edited by Lost Sols: 5/25/2015 2:31:37 PMAppreciate the reply and your take on them. ToO I think would be competitive as long as you have to be at least 33 to do matchmaking. PoE the level 32 is pretty easy. I would require a player be level 34 to do matchmaking for the level 34 and 35. Raids you are 100% correct that you need a mic, but post a notice to people that haven't raided that this event requires voice chat. Not too many people are going to go into raids and not talk or at least listen. I've played enough online games that require communication to know that people are capable. Good to have this discussion though. That's what this forum is supposed to be, not tell us what something is and walking away <coughDeeJ>

Yeah I agree with you on PoE. 32 is doable with randoms. The thought of wave 4 of 34 with potentially sub-par randoms is horrifying...
