For the love of god, please at least get it on the nightfall. I literally start nightfall every week and post on the forums that I have started. I invite the first two random people, I don't care who they are. I don't put in my mic and we proceed to win. This would all be easier with, our guessed it, nightfall.

#bungie #cozmo #deej I hope you guys read this, the community has been asking since day 1. If you listen to your community, thrn listen to them and add match making. It no way negatively affects people whom want to play with their friends by being in a premade fireteam. It however, would make lots of players play content they typically wouldn't have time to find a team for or just don't want to deal with the hassle of finding a team.

1 ReplyOptional matchmaking with mics required. I'm not carrying some noob who is too afraid to ask for help and just silently drags raids. Because there would be at least one of these on every squad.

Optional matchmaking is something I can get behind. If I don't have to be paired with rando commandos and it will shut all of them up I don't see a loss to this. Bump

I approve of optional matchmaking

Edited by gallp13: 5/30/2015 11:37:03 PM85% Guardians want optional match making (OMM). Where OMM is in game LFG integrated with Xbox and PS friend and party functions. OMM provides non clan folk with powerful and efficient tools to form fire teams for high level end game content. It is consistent with Bungies end game fire team formation philosophy vis go find some colleagues, make friends, build skills, play, enjoy and repeat. LFG style OMM may offer a path to increase end game participation from 20% ish levels driving retention - sales - and thus franchise net present value (NPV). OMM is unlikely to materially predate clan numbers as clans offer a very different experience. In game LFG could act as a feeder for clans. With the assistance of our management we run two XB1 clans ANZAC RAIDERS and ANZAC RAIDERS REDUX (to over come the 100 cap). We like LFG style OMM for folks who want to do hard end content but have zero interest in joining a clan. It helps the game we have come to love grow. We have started to develop ways to reach of to potential new clan members through an in game LFG feature. We are doing this because in game LFG makes very sound commercial sense and so is likely to be adopted in the future. Here's why........ Despite the clunkiness of LFG sites, their lack of integration with console Community functions and that multi- LFG sites, apps and reddit threads fragment numbers in less populace regions, LFG take up rates are impressive. It makes sound business sense to put LFG in game to take more direct control of customer attraction and retention processes. In the end it makes for less commercial risk offering more robust returns on investment.

My biggest thing with this is that some nights I'm shorter on time and I just want to hop into the action and not waste any time messaging randoms people on lfg. This game is easy enough that most activities should be successful with a match-made groups. For other items though I would like to forgo the matchmaking and pick my own fireteam to ensure team balance and experience level. Almost all the technology to do this already exists... and if it improves life of players even somewhat why not add it? Seems like low hanging fruit to me...

Not even sure match making can fix all the issues but it's a start. Personally, I really find it hard to drag myself to the world anymore. I do it to play with my friend and that's it. I have a feeling when TTK comes out, I'll be calling it quits.

3 RepliesNo matchmaking needs to end now. I have played destiny since the demo. I've never once posted a negative comment. Not when everyone was complaining about the purple engrams, not when atheon was glitchy as all get out. Not when Crota expansion dropped the ball and had us all re-leveling all our gear. But after the initial excitement of House of Wolves has worn off, it's time. Bungie, it's time to stop hiding all the best end game content behind the "pre-made team only" wall. Here's the part where players who this isn't effecting go, "Join a clan, use LFG, etc, etc." Well I've been part of a clan since the beginning. They all stalled out after a few Crota wins and most have gone to xbox One. I've been in 3 different clans since then. The organization and wait to do anything is just as bad as getting together randoms from LFG. I don't have infinite time to play. I can't waste 45 mins to an hour just getting a group together. The teams you get from LFG are no different than what you would get from having matchmaking in game, it just takes WAY longer. BUNGIE, address this now. The amount of grinding to get up to new levels, level up old weapons and get those damn keys is more than time consuming enough without having to waste so much time and energy just trying to actually access the content that is nigh inaccessible if you don't have a lot of online friends that can just pick up and play anytime. It's time for across the game matchmaking before guys like me are just done.

OMM is now on the list - thank you Deej and thank you Guardians.

1 ReplyThis would be great if implemented for friends who'd like to play competitively in a private session of crucible with each other. On the down side, there will be a lot of challengers who'd love to "1v1" every user and boast about who's the greatest. Nobody wants that in this community except for those users themselves. Over all, I'd say keep it as is. Not worth the negative struggle with the over competitive users. Keep is chill.

How are they not noticing the need for matchmaking. I will not support them with another penny untill they add matchmaking. Having to go scour forums for a group is super dated and abnoxious when the game has a functioning system . There's a reason the world's most popular mmo added "group finder" aka matchmaking.
