Scout Rifles, Pulse rifles and Auto Rifles should be about the same except for accuracy and rate of fire. For example, the M16 Assault Rifle. Fire the M16 on full auto and it is all over the place compared to firing the weapon on 3 round burst (pulse), or firing single shot (scout rifle). Hand Canons and Sidearms (pistols) should not ever have great range [b]and[/b] accuracy due to the short barrel. They are close quarter weapons like a shotgun, but easier to carry around.
