Crucible maps cater to CQB?

Alright. Now before you even start reading this, if you don't like people ranting then just go ahead and move on over to that other persons forum topic. I won't be responding to anything negative, if you have an actual creative brain to discuss things with in a proper manner than I'll respond. Lastly, inb4 you're bad at crucible. Wrong. I'm actually very good at it but I'm here to blow off a little steam and see if others share my same view. Okay. As the title itself basically explains, do others as well as me believe that Crucible maps cater more to CBQ weapons (Shotguns, Fusion Rifles, Handcannons)? My view on it that I see, I play mostly Control during Crucible and most of the objectives are in places that are, well, Close quarters. The maps themselves are actually quite big as a whole but I feel like Bungie went and cluttered the living mess out of them, adding in tiny hallways and these small 4x4 cardboard box rooms to fight in. With me I do believe Crucible kind of caters around close range and I'm just not a fan of it. I don't run around with shotguns and such, I could I realize that but it's not my style. Also I don't hate others who really do it because that's your style as well and you can do as you please. My thing though is that the people who run around with them having a higher chance of killing a person in say one of the smaller rooms because of the fact their weapon is built around fighting in that smaller space. Longer range weapons such as Scout Rifles, Assault Rifles, and Snipers don't really have that much of an edge in those closer areas. Sure you can go fight outside where there might be space but if you're playing Control, you're being focused into the small areas where CQB reigns supreme. So my thing here is do you believe Bungie should have been a little wiser with the way the maps were built? Do you think there should be more open maps to give an edge to Long Range weapons as well as a few smaller areas for CQB to have its place still? Again I don't believe any one weapon is more OP than the other when it comes to Crucible, I'm not like that. I only just believe the places we fight each other cater more to a specific style of play during Crucible. Thanks for reading this if you do. Try to keep the negativity down, like I said this isn't really me posting the same ole "this is op, nerf this, nerf that". I just feel the game is slightly more balanced in one direction during PvP.
