Coolest Random You've ever met?
Coolest Random? Dosent matter how you met them (LFG, Forums, Matchmaking, Friend of Friend, ETC...) if the people were just really cool, chill, experienced, it carried you, let us know! ( gamertag optional, just story)
I'll start. This guy, after my fifth or sixth post on forums agreed to help me on thorn bounty. He told me a strategy I couldn't do myself but was pretty simple. After a while (I thought we were in like the first dropship) he says "there"
"What?"
*Unbound Thorn*
*me squealing* " WHAT?! SHES DEAD? HOW DID YOU KILL HER SO QUICK?"
"Two gally shots bro"
After that he offered to carry me through CE for some gear but i declined to go get thorn. He sounded so relaxed I thought he was high, but he's still the coolest bro I've ever randomly met. :)

1 ReplySome rando messaged me in the tower (I was on my male Titan) and asked me if I wanted to do the Crota raid (before hard mode came out). I said sure. Joined their fire team and party chat. They were surprised to find out I was actually a girl. I was already experienced in the raid so I showed them how to do it and now we're all clan mates and good friends. Finally beat Skolas today with that very same guy and it was so satisfying.

I'd only used lfg for a couple of nightfalls as I mainly played solo, but I saw a post for nf x 3 on reset day. I got an invite and we started. Only a few minutes in and the other 2 guys departed. One came back and said he had been kicked by a network error. The second guy didn't return, so we got someone else through lfg. The three of us had a good laugh as we did all 3 nf. While chatting I said I had never done a raid, so they carried me through Crota normal afterwards, carefully explaining each step as we went A month later andI still meet up with them whenever we're on line

Someone in crucible who had the exact same armor, weapons and shader equipped as me! It was awesome.

I was doing trials and posted on the forums for another player, and a kid that couldn't be more then 10 joined. Obviously I was like oh shit this is going to be bad he probably sucks, but out of no where he averages 20 kills a game and a 10.0 kd. We ended up going flawless three times in a row with this kid. I was genuinely surprised

Met quite a few especially recently. Key farming at skywatch last nigh this dude invites me to a party. I normally decline but said whatever and joined. Totally chill dude and we passed the time laughing and stuff. He was pretty leveled up from the upper PoE levels and offered to help me if I ever needed it and I'd do the same for him with Crota. Sometimes it pays to join in on those invites and find some cool friends!

Sephsomazing random Tower chat led to him helping with Crota and Atheon been raiding together since and I had the oppty to play HoW hours early then walk him through Tues night.

Me and my friend were carrying a lvl 28 through CE normal mode he was a very nice guy He managed to get all the armor in one run and get a G-horn of Ir Yut He was very happy and now we are good friends

5 RepliesI've met a few. Honestly these forums are super toxic. I wish there were more peeps like u guys, but the hating, the complaining, the inability to give advice without being a douche, is way too prevalent. I used to like reading these forums however it is quickly changing. Rarely can I post anything without someone being a smart ass or belittling. This generation is very brave behind a keyboard, its a joke. Thanks to all those who try to be helpful and dilute some of this toxicity, ur the ones that keep me coming back. See how many hateful posts or trolls I get for expressing my opinion.

A long time ago when I was like 28 or 29 I wanted to do the 30 weekly to get ice breaker( before matchmaking ) and I posted on here looking for help. A 32 hunter ( now 34 ) offered to help and when we were done we went to his gorgon checkpoint and that is where I got the ghorn. First time I beat crota is when this guy solo'd him while I just stayed out of the way. By far the best player I've played with in destiny so far.

While there seems to be a good amount of negativity on the forums, most people I've ever met through here, randomly on strikes, or just in tower, they've always been helpful for me. I just made friends with a guy to help me on the 32 of prison of elders. Liked the way he played on the 28 strike playlists and added him. It's all about helping each other out and passing it on. I don't have ghorn and that's almost a must now to get past 32 level of PoE, so hopefully sometime soon I'll be able to meet other nice randos

1 ReplyIm sure I have met my fair share of just overall fun people while playing with randoms (I wish I could remember this guys name though) I will refer to them as "bro" and "bud" a few weeks ago I went to lfg looking for a quick nightfall got an invite from a bro and his bud, bud was a bit underleveled for the nightfall but I decided to help them out me and bro were talking about how he was having problems carrying because of other randoms doing stupid stuff right at the end and bud (underleveled) was deaf so sometimes communication was hard we died a time or two because of stupid stuff (CURSE YOU ARCHITECTS) but we eventually made it through bud really wanted a suros because he never got one and I was hoping my hardest for him to get one sadly he didnt receive anything that good from the nightfall but we ran the weekly right after and blew right through it bro running his deaf friend (wasnt half bad either) though stuff is da real mvp

Sometimes, I meet some cool people in the Skywatch. Since it's always so populated, and because we're all waiting for the same thing, chilling out with some people while you wait is usually pretty fun.

4 RepliesWeek 3 my buddy and I met this random who was following us everywhere on patrol. We became good friends and even hung out in the real world. We started a clan and played the shit out of this game. Unfortunately he died back in March.
