If you need folks to play with have you tried lfg? Sometimes you can make permanent friends and won't need the lfg site after a while. I don't know about ToO, but as a frequent raider I am against matchmaking. Raids require communication and team work, the work better when you play with folks that you know.

You're missing the point. We're not talking about regular matchmaking. We're talking about optional matchmaking. Players need choices on how they want to play. How we play shouldn't be dictated by Bungie. This is a poor game design decision that will begin losing players like dead flies.

  • I haven't raided with the same group twice ever, yet my hunter is lvl 33, warlock lvl 31, and titan 29. I have raided with all of them. Shure I got the team using destinylfg.com but, it was just like level caped matchmaking. I once had two freinds who I played with at launch, but the difficulty in getting another three players for raids, ment that they couldn't progress. I think they both would have kept playing if we could have gotten a team for the raid, even a bad one.

  • If you're ps4 and need a group to play with message me. Tony-whatever. In fact anyone who is having trouble finding a regular group here can message me. If you like destiny enough to ask for more gaming you'll like playing with us. We help each other out running multiple raids and nightfalls and Poe to make sure everyone gets through.

  • But why are you against matchmaking? You can still play the same way you always do. You wouldn't have to use the matchmaking. Why do you care if other people have a bad experience when it doesn't affect your game play?

  • If it's optional, I'm ok.

  • Finally! Someone who doesn't want to use matchmaking but is OK if other people have it. I just don't get the the people who are against it like it would be mandatory for everyone.

  • Not true. My friends were terrible to raid with. Yet, one guy sent me an invite to raid randomly. Turns out, we crushed it and none of us ever met before. People know how to communicate. It's not like you need 10 years experience with each other. It's a game, not the military.
