The best way to demoralize a person in a game....
Is by constantly berating them by saying over an open mic that they "fu*** suck." I had just had this happen to me while I was playing PoE in lv 34. I was not doing as well as I would like, and I was getting the least amount of kills. Nonetheless this person kept this ritual going for the remainder of the game, and his words were enough to turn me off completely from the game, and after the team died a couple more times, I decided to leave.

Part of this is that with only 3 people it makes carrying a person that much harder. Also with no checkpoints, you know your time has been wasted when you can't progress because you're gonna have to start over if you leave. Personally, when I know it's not gonna get done, I just leave, sometimes without even saying anything (which is sometimes best).
