Yea but then we get lazy and go with the optional :3 lol. I'm not sure how Id really feel, you can go on the recruitment page on the forums and get a team quickly, there has always been something entertaining about meeting new people and playing to the end (less people quit raids than match made strikes)

Hmm. The stat about quitting weeklies more often than raids reflects a lot of things [i]other than[/i] simply the difference between a match-made team and a "hand-selected" team, so to speak.

It is always the lack of communication when my team mates leave, because they taught themself a strategy that doesnt line up with anyone elses

I hear you. Lack of communication can be a problem, but again, that would only affect people using matchmaking. Wouldn't affect you.
