Many people initially believed that all of the new House of Wolves Exotics for Titans were a bit of a screwjob. To be honest, I thought so too.
Then, I met the Peregrine Greaves.
Visually, there greaves are pleasing to the eye in an entrancing way. While sprinting, the jewels adorning the legs will light up, even when in Defender Focus, making for a brilliant, yet grim warning of the impending doom. When Shoulder Charge is primed, jumping into the air causes the gems along the thighs to generate two large energy blades along your legs. Whoever designed these greaves has really outdone themself.
These greaves come with one of everyone's favorite perks: Heavy Ammo. So you can even set aside your VoG and Crota legs for these with no real setbacks. However, the true power of the Greaves really does come from the Peregrine Strike perk.
How much does this perk increase Shoulder Charge's airborne damage? The damage starts at 200%, but GROWS IN STRENGTH the longer you are in the air while Shoulder charge is ready. As a lvl 30 against lvl 28 Captains in Vanguard Dragon, my hits ranged from 3,000 to 4,500. Shoulder Charge does at least THREE TIMES more damage while airborne. In Crucible, this is a death sentence, even to Mid-super Guardians. Radiant Skin Warlocks and Arc Blade Hunters will fall in one single strike. I doubt even Unstoppable Fist of Havoc can survive a hit, if you time it right. These greaves scream "KICK ALL THE ENEMIES" and you may even find yourself intentionally trying to knee strike everything around you, simply for the pleasure of watching even the mighty tier-2 Majors and Ultras crumble beneath a single knee strike. With Brawler active, nothing short of a boss could possibly survive the wrath of the Peregrine Strike.
Overall, the Peregrine Greaves have certainly told the Mk. 44 Stand Asides to... well, stand aside. While its unique perk certainly puts the Titan in the forefront of risk by stressing the use of charging enemies head-on and thrusting a knee into their face, as we all know, risk has its rewards -and an intstakill knee to the face is definitely rewarding. So go on Guardians, bend those minions over your knee -and shatter every bone in their body in the process.

Would be cool if you could use these with sunbreaker suncharge.

2 RepliesWhen I saw that video of a Titan one shotting a Bladedancer, I knew I had to get them.
-
Its official, maxing these out asap
-
5 RepliesAnything in the game have the modifiers brawler, arc burn and airborne stacked? If so I'm pretty sure that would be beyond godlike?
-
You can destroy a pike with them. I did it and can confirm that I ejaculated
-
My Titan has now become my new favorite because of these (sorry sunbro) I'm still trying to master them, but damn they are cool!
-
Captain Falcon was a Titan.
-
Dang looks like I need to get more strange coins, sounds awesome
-
Convinced me to buy em haha
-
I won't buy them but nice review
-
2 RepliesGREAT job on this I've had them for quite some time and Planet Destiny did a horrible job reviewing these almost everything else they review is spot on though so I was quite surprised.
-
8 RepliesMy review: Shoulder charge is 1 shot in crucible anyway, so that's a 0/10 from me for PvP In PvE, nobody uses shoulder charge anyway so 0/10 from me there too. Still better than stand asides though!

R8 8/8

1 ReplyBasically, you got the power of Captain Falcon's knee
-
Glad I got em in the nightfall 2 hours after HoW went live :)
-
1 ReplyIf I get these, I'm making it my mission to kill every strike boss with just shoulder charge
-
Thanks for spending the time to review these. I'll check them out when I get my hands on them.
-
I like your googly eye pants.

13 RepliesBasically what this review is saying is that it is better than not using an exotic, which I suppose I can agree with. But do you really want to use this instead of Ruin Wings, Armamentarium or Helm of St. 14? I very much doubt that.
-
1 ReplyGot these from 32 PoE, I love them and makes them unique.
-
2 RepliesAwesome, I can't wait to get ahold of these! Do they add time to the shoulder charge like the Stand Asides did? Have you found that perking up your agility has benefitted these in Crucible? I generally perk up my armor/recovery and maybe add a little agility/minus recovery. Or use MIDA for full out sprinting.

4 RepliesThey probably should have combined the Stand asides with the peregrine, ability wise and kept the look of the peregrines.
-
1 ReplyCombine this with a Monte Carlo and I could see this being a boss destroyer
-
3 RepliesI always knew they'd be powerful. I didn't know they'd also be beautiful, too...
-
1 ReplyI mean when are you going to have enough time to charge a blade dancer? Never lol
