They keys aren't that good. Chance at exotic and queens weapon after the first few keys. Going flawless is not easy.
-
5 RepliesThat's because you need skill and you don't need a key for the best loot dumb ass
-
Doesn't the best PvE loot (elemental primaries) drop off of Skolas himself not the big chest?
-
For the best guns (outside Trials/Lighthouse) in House of Wolves then you don't need a key but a weapon core and armour core to go for Judgements Chance.
-
Oh my goood you're such a dumb scrub whiny little biatch!! "Weeeh I can't play cwucible cuz people who are actually good at the game keep beating me and I should get all the rewards anywaaay" Boo -blam!-ing hoo! Why would they add a key farming to a player versus player system? That would then make it PvE not PvP. Also why should the achievement of beating 9 fireteams , that being 27 different guardians over the course of 45 two minute rounds without losing be taken away over someone not having a shitty little key? GROW THE -blam!- UP YOU STUPID SCRUB BITCH

Wow, op sucks

If PoE doesn't give one key per character per week to open the big chest, I'll be severely playing less Destiny. It's already near impossible to get arena weapons with burns, if I don't have a chance at exotics weekly, why bother? I'm not gonna struggle through the 35 every week for nothing when the 34 gives me Etheric Light x 3 and is easy. 365 Fatebringer, VoC, etc. means no use doing the 35 or the Arena after the next two weeks because the guns we already have kick ass and farming keys is ridiculous. I guess I'll find out when I wake up in the morning if keys are given out and thus how much time I'll be putting into the game. I've already got my $20 worth anyways.

9 RepliesGoing flawless in ToO is much harder and takes much more time than Skolas, I can assure you. I went 6-3 unfortunately because ToO is filled with sweaty try hards but that's exactly who ToO is for. Going flawless can take up to an hour and a hell of a lot more teamwork and strategy than "ok run left, kill servitor, pop a bubble and kill Skolas with ghorn"

2 RepliesEdited by ChuckN4tion: 5/25/2015 5:26:01 AMUnless you really want those queens wrath weapons. The big chest is kinda pointless if you ask me
-
3 RepliesIt's on two totally different levels there dude. You can use a key to access the chest on levels 28, 32, 34, or 35 and have the same chance for the same weapons. Even the 28 chest can drop exotics/etheric light/PoE weapons. But to win nine straight ToO games is difficult. Very difficult. I've been playing all weekend (granted, with randoms) and have yet to crack 6 wins. Winning nine in a row is good enough for the guns they're getting. Taking 20 minutes to run through PoE on 28 and getting similar tier guns is not

Arena Disable mines: use a hunter Destroy mines: one ghorn will do the trick plus it also allows for tracking Kill target: unload heavy ammo Skolas: can be taken down under thirty seconds AI: easy to predict behavior and they don't learn to combat your tatics Burns: Use them toward your advantage Ghorn: do I really need to explain The Trials Enemies: it's more difficult to predict a humans behavior and it is subject to change. Buffs: in pve people clutch on synthesis so you can't judge plus our buffs cost 3 coins for 1 and syn. cost 1 coin for 5 Matchmaking: we don't fight the same people each match some we must constantly be ready to adapt, god forbid you met people that stream on twitch for a living (speaking from experience #gotrekt) Riving: that invisibility won't fool anybody Flawless: It's the only way to get the good stuff, how many times did you have to wipe in the arena? I could continue but I think I made my point.

Being good and going flawless is the key, son.
-
Passage coins to help you go flawless. Plus the small glimmer tax for buying a new card
-
4 RepliesBecause getting to the lighthouse is harder than PoE
-
You have to go 9-0 for a chest. That's the key . Poe is child's play and you still get rewards if you don't open the chest
-
3 RepliesLast time I checked, the real rewards from PoE come from opening any chest. If you're doing it for a chance at some exotic, get outta here. Do it for the weekly rewards which everyone gets (etheric light, Armor core, weapon core)

12 RepliesThey are both equally hard but trials is definetly alot more stressful. PoE you can retry over and over and over. Trials you can only lose 3 times before you are out and have to start again.
-
2 RepliesGet 9 wins with 0 losses and then, so you don't look like a complete ass, delete this thread.

3 RepliesThe Key to ToO is skill....see what I did there
-
3 RepliesWow, what a great way to show Bungie that their player base is made mostly of children.
-
Keys aren't even hard to get you just have to farm them which is easy. Pvp players earn their loot by getting 9 wins and no losses. It's completely fair.
-
2 RepliesPassage coins... A lot of them

1 ReplyShut up

2 RepliesWell, if PvE players had to deal with Golden Guns Bladedancers Fist of havoc Nova Bombs Self Rezing Warlocks Sticky Gernades That damn sun Snipers Shotgunners Blink shotgunners Campers Actually better players Human beings as enemies Lag Switchers 9 times then I'd agree, you shouldn't have to farm for keys. But no, they kill bullet sponge bosses along with mobs who can't think for themselves. They use the same tactics with inferior weapons. And then you cry about farming for keys. Entitlement, at its finest.

The difference is you can loot the big chest as often as you want, for as many exotic chances as you want (at least on 28). Also, farming keys is not hard in the slightest, just time consuming. With The Lighthouse, you loot it once, you're done for that character for the week. Exotic drops from the actual matches are the same drop rate as regular Crucible, if they even drop at all ( I haven't seen any, for my team or any enemy). So... yeah. Enjoy the fact that you can loot your chest multiple times in a week. We can't.
