Trials of Osiris Sucks!
I did my very first match, following a couple more, on Trials and, I have to say, it sucked big time. It was nothing but Thorns, Last Words, Felwinter's Lie (and other shotguns), and Hunters. I died so quick and could never get a chance to pop the Ward of Dawn. I'm tired of being insta-killed all the time. On Destiny, there's no such thing as a good gunfight. I paid $20 just to get rekt without any sort of chance to fight back. Very disappointed right now. It is like "Unless you have OP weapons, prepare to die over and over again".
Edit #1 (11:38 pm EST): I went ahead and joined in on the fun with Thorn and ended up getting the 9-win flawless, thanks to finding the right people. It does get bull crap sometimes though, no doubt about that. If I went back to my regular weapons, Im sure to lose.

3 RepliesDestiny pvp is half a step behind advanced warfare. Lag is killing online gaming period because people can't just learn how to play they have to take cheap wins and talk like they're actually good.

There is no one on my friendslist to play with and trying to pug a ToO is completely hit or miss - not to mention that everyone is asking for 9-0 runs. Based on how the in-game population actually plays it's impossible that all those who are asking for 9-0 runs actually can live up to that standard, because basically everyone is asking for it whereas in-game 9/10 can't maintain a 1.0 k/d in the much easier control. If you on the other hand are trying to advertise in a more humble way you're either not going to get anyone to play with you or just the worst of the worst. It's a catch 22 that we never had with the raids. So you quickly reach the point where you don't play at all. It's going to be so interesting to see how the next DLC does. I'm 100 % that no one on my FL will buy it - because the only reason they have HoW is because it came with their game copies and no one likes it. I should add that they don't like it because they used to be hardcore PvP'ers and consider this to be a joke of a game. Personally I've come to terms with the fact that no game on the market offers competitive PvP unless you go out of your way and play in third party brackets (ESL etc) so I've been stupid enough to atleast give it a go. That's over, I'm done with sitting in orbit and waiting for someone with a reasonable chance at even winning 5 games show up. Let me just give you an example from yesterday, I specifically asked for decent players and got stuck with a dude who had not even played skirmish or the map before. At that point there's really no reason to not have matchmaking.

2 RepliesIt's terrible. Especially when it's a team full of Sunsingers that you're up against. Thorns and Red Death being a 2 shot kill also adds to the pile of crap that is ToO. Warlocks are just too OP for this. The map being small only further promotes the use of Felwinters lie. I can go on about what makes this crap out w/e. Perhaps the map for next week will be more balanced.

And you are the meaning of the word. All these complaint posts, im not a huge PVP'er, but i do enjoy it. Havent tried ToS yet but i will. Anyway..... You paid for the additional content, if there is a part of the content which you dont like dont play it. People play for the WIN and should use whatever weapon or character, they wish to help get them the WIN! Its called COMPETITION. If i want to use Thorn, LW, HM, Vex etc to Win i will. And i wont feel bad about it. BECAUSE IM PLAYING TO WIN. If you want to win... learn how to counter. Saying a gun shouldnt be used is like saying Scorpion shouldnt be used in MK. Or 10th Prestige CoD players shouldnt be aloud in. Or the pats shouldnt be alowed to a Superbowl (not a fan btw). Or a drag car shouldnt have that much horsepower. Or a baseball player shouldnt be able to hit homeruns or strike out. Get over it, play something else or practice to get the rewards you seek. Good luck! *Edited for typos*
