They do work fine now, just aren't as deadly as others (personally votes for the 2.5% back).

Exaggeration much? I think so, since the patch dropped I feel like autos already do better, since they feel more powerful than before (I use autos all the time so I would know if there was a difference). I seem to always place at the top of my team with Suros and Hard Light nowadays.
