[b][i]chapter 4.1.1 - the arena of wrath[/i][/b]
*a lone Necromancer awaits the two sorcerers in the center if the arena - shadows obscure it's features as it levitates in the air.. It's purple aura casts a sickening glow into the dark sands below*

-Ferrous and Bren enter the Arena- -They are dressed in red and black versions of there original outfits, symbols of there new status- Bren: Oi, Are you the one who we are supposed to fight? Ferrous: We were sent by the Arcanus, August. *the figure remains silent* Bren: A silent type, Eh? *places a Rune the ground* Bren: Let's see how you handle this. *the air starts to chill* *ice shards start to form in mid air over it* *Bren points his hand at the figure* *the shards shoot towards him*

*the shard slams into the Necromancer and slams into his chest, center mass.. The Necromancer's aura flares brightly* *the Necromancer, still levitating, slashed his staff through the air in a wide arc - creating an ear splitting sonic boom that blasts the two of you with a shockwave of crimson flames.. The two of you land flat on your backs 20 yards away* *before you two can rise, the Necromancer slams into the ground with force - his aura shifts green as a multitude of rotten hands burst from the black sands of the arena and seize the two of you in their titanic grasps* *mouths mutate in the palm of some of the hands and bite into your flesh - they infect you with a nauseating plague as parasites enter your bloodstream.. The two of you begin to hallucinate* *the sky becomes a fiery maelstrom, whispers can be heard all around as lightning strikes the ground* *the Necromancer closes in*

Ferrous: Are you sure? Bren: Trust me mate. *Bren places a Rune on the ground* *starts to form Sigils with hands* *electricity starts to crackle around body* Bren: NOW! *Ferrous dispels the Earth Rune* *the dome crumbles* *the Necromancer's lightning strikes Bren* Bren:*voice is distorted* Now you've done it.. *the lightning is absorbed* *points finger forward at Necromancer* *blast of lightning erupts from hand* *it sends the Necromancer flying back into a wall* *Bren collapses and vomits* Bren: Urghh! Ferrous:*starts to see double* Ferrous: Why are there two of y-you?

*the Necromancer is wounded from the attack, but still has his composure* *the Necromancer launches himself into the air and lands 10 ft in front of the two of you* *lightning crackles and throws off multi colored strobes in all directions as he whimsically twirls his two handed staff over his head.. Then in one fluid motion, he follows through like a golf swing - a magenta fireball collides with brens face.. Blasting him, end over end, through the air and breaking his face* *the Necromancer comes around for the second Mage but is a split second too late*

*Ferrous throws a Rune of Flames on the back of the Necromancer* *he erupts in a body of fire, but these flames are black* *they emit a heat more intense than those of usual* *forms a Sigil of Gust, throwing the flaming Necromancer high into the air* *Bren lands a ways away, unconscious* Ferrous: B-Bren? Are you still alive friend? *Ferrous starts to stumble over to him* Ferrous: Give me a sign that you are... a snowflake, a puddle..

*the Necromancer hits the ground, far away and severely damaged. He then blinks to your position and batters ferrous to the ground with a massive headbut - hands proceed to hold him to the ground again As the Necromancer begins to siphon the soul out of bren* *the Necromancer takes a size able measure of brens life and heals the worst of the burning on his back* *he then goes in for the kill on bren*

*a large Tornado appears from the sky* [b]ENOUGH![/b] *I appear from the Tornado* *puts out hand toward Necromancer* *pulls him toward me with force* *voice is hollow* This was a test. NOT a death match where you kill them. *I tighten my hand around his throat* *brings hand above head* *siphons back large amount of Necromancer's lifeforce* Do. You. Under. Stand. *tosses Necromancer to the side* *walks over to Ferrous and Bren* *places Runes on chest* I'll restore you when we get back. Sarris! We need to talk about your... Necromancer.

*Sarris-Sanguine flies into the arena* *his big black steel gargoyle wings resonate through the air like a swordsman who swings his weapon with all his might* *he lands in the sands - sinking in a few inches due to the weight of his black power armor* "I wouldn't have let him get killed.. The Necromancer was my brothers idea. We figured it would be a real test and it was" says Sarris "This realm is full of evil far worse than that - and to set them lose here could be a recipe for disaster. You must train your men against the shadows and the chaos... Or it will eat them alive" [spoiler]I wasn't being op was I?[/spoiler]

I was fine with the test. In fact those two might have even won. But I draw the line at taking their lifeforce. in a MOCK battle. Just make sure that he knows that for future reference. *I, Bren, and Ferrous start to diappear into a gust of wind* And Sarris... remember that we follow you, and not the Summoner.. *we disappear*
