Considering the fact that it is the only auto rifle in this game that actually sounds like an auto rifle, I would greatly appreciate if bungie removed the spitting sound from all the other auto rifles.... And let us upgrade it to legendary.

Agreed. I would like more gun sounds, that sound like weapons that pack a punch. Something like the chug of an M-60, or the thud of an AK-47. Something that Mass Effect did well was having varied weapon sounds, that sounded sci-fi, but also sounded like powerful weapons. Think the Predator from ME2. It had a distinct pow sound. (P-Oh-wuh or something similar to that noise lol) It sounded powerful, sci-fi, and you could draw connections to real life sounds that could draw you to the weapons.

Yea. It's future tech, fushion rifles are good, HARDLIGHT is great, Vestian Dynasty is awesome. O_O Then... You whip out an auto rifle and you get the sound of 36 cowboys spitting chaw into a bucket. Wtf.

Yeah, well it's stuff like this that I'm sure they take into account when working on updates or sequels. I agree though, the sounds are great but some of them don't have the oomph that I think they could use. I want my guns to be loud and powerful. I want to feel like I'm tearing bad guys to pieces with big bad guns. Lol On a related note though, the Khvostov does sound really great and it would be kinda cool to have it and sort of see it evolve with you as you progress the story. Sort of that whole "This is my rifle! There are many like it but this one is mine!" mentality. Your gun may be like other people's gun, but if you get better with it, and add things to it, then it'd be kinda cool to see what everyone has, rather than guns that look generally the same. It's like Boba Fett's custom blaster. He mounted his own scope, polished the wood furniture, and other things that make it personal to him.

Bungies personal fail on "your gear tells your story". Gear right now is "he got it from a vault on hard" or "she got that helm from crota on hard". Imagine gear that was assembled via parts from various raids and vendors. THAT is a story. Especially if quests completed with weapons got an etching or carving of an insignia you designed in the game. Bungie failed flat out on story for gear. Grimoire is worthless. Nobody out of 20 some friends (most over 10 years) who play couldn't care less about grimoire cards.

I do think the whole "your gear tells your story" thing kind of failed. I agree, if we build it from parts collected from quests or purchased, I think it could be more indicative of us and it could tell our story.

They should have let us disassemble weapons that were legendary, keep the parts, and RE-assemble them into something we liked cosmetically. I'd have been fine with the stats staying the same. But at least let us change the damn barrels or scopes or mags off the guns. ;o)

You know, breaking a weapon down to bare parts, like the mag well, upper and lower receiver, barrel, and attachments could be a really cool way to get unique weapons in Destiny. Perhaps only legendaries are capable of being disassembled, but still, the option would be nice. Maybe something the gunsmith can do for us in exchange for coins or glimmer. Maybe even allowing us to take pets from other guns. I know I have a Rare Stalker BNGL just wasting away in my vault because I love the Panther design that's on the side, but can't use it because it's only Rare. Maybe allowing us to take decals and arrange positions, or place certain parts on the outside of the gun could make for some interesting, community built designs.
