everyone has a thunderlord now, so why do some people still use horn on an arc modifier? Wouldn't Lord or an Arc Heavy with clusters do more damage?
Also, yes, I have 3 365 Horns so I'm not one of those people who make a post about horn but doesn't have it lol
EDIT: I understand the Wizards, especially during PoE. But other than that, I don't see why
-
arc damage? no problem. 1. shot shield down with fatebringer 2. switch to gjallarhorn and kill all captains 3. profit
-
Cause the G horn is the only weapon that can do a considerable amount of damage no matter the burn.
-
5 RepliesI have both and tried both. Thunderlord takes time to warm up. In that time the wizard is blasting at you. It is like standing in the path of a bus. "Guardian Down". After we wiped I switched to ghorn. Wizard showed up and I fired off a round and ducked back behind cover. Dead Wizard. Major wizard shows up. Titan jumps on C with a bubble. Wizard tracks on him and 2 rockets later. Another Dead wizard. Behold the power of ghorn.
-
Maybe they don't have an arc rocket launcher. The Thunderlord is nice, but it doesn't beat a rocket that tracks enemies and has higher chance of solid damage from a safe place. The Thunderlord, and any other heavy machine gun has a weakness of not being that efficient from across the field in a hiding place.
-
Because it does a ton of damage anyway
-
Ghorn does more
-
Still does damage maybe it's the best they have on their charecters. I use ghorn all the way through poe even when it's arc as I wanna kill those wizards fast.
-
Becuase its OP and i can !#reckt
-
Well, it does do more damage than truth on void burn sooo.....
-
It's OP
-
Because Thunderlord is Trash.

Edited by Ronin Tanuki: 5/22/2015 3:28:05 AMMy mate and I bursted Taniks in under three seconds during all of our nightfalls. That's why. Less reason to use it in PoE, but it still does amazing damage. You can easily get away with it. *edit* Also, see: http://youtu.be/-rNe2jbD6BQ

6 RepliesIt's because people with gally think its a trophy to show of even when it's not the best weapon to use !!! If they didn't have it equiped how would everyone know they had it ???
-
Its a high damage weapon I can use quickly and get back to cover and arch burn with fallen is tough so good for a boss but it mostly depends on the situation if I want to use Thunderlord
-
3 RepliesThunder lord doesn't impress me very much even with arc burn
-
I had my gjallerhorn on my characters when I ran the nightfall, but even my unleveled patience and time just wrecked everything.
-
It's just that good. Wolfpack rounds yo
-
The Wizards in that part have solar shields and gjallahorn is more effective
-
The Ghorn doesn't hit any less hard just because it's arc this week.
-
In PoE yeah I'll use Ghorn but in events like arc burn nightfalls I agree with you
-
Best gun on that character at the moment and his lazy
-
4 RepliesWhen you have Gjallarhorn you don't need burn.
-
4 Repliesghorn is love ghorn is life i -blam!-ed my ghorn before have u?
-
Cuz wizards and legionaries have been in the arc burn rounds and I don't have time to aim thunderlord while a wizard is shooting me with arc missiles... I barely have time to slightly aim my rocket
-
Use two arc burn weps then gally to knock down wizard shields
-
I'll swap to my arc launcher with clusters and vacuum after emptying my gjally first though.
