Why no Matchmaking for PoE?
What kind of communication do you need in a horde mode? What is your guys problem. I can understand Raids (which still need matchmaking btw) but why not PoE. I easily beat it no death, no communication, and highest kills. It's not hard and we're all close together anyways but there is no [b]need[/b] for communication. It would be nice but it's not necessary. Some of us don't have friends who play Destiny so give us matchmaking already for crying out loud. Pisses me off some of the stupid decisions you guys at bungie make.

umm appearantly some people still dont know why match making is only on the lowest level. its to find people to play with and add them. this is end game content for crying out loud if you run lvl 28 find a couple of people you like playing with who fit your style add them ask them if they want to run a harder lvl. if not keep trying its not rocket science people. I swear people will find any reason to complain about things. ALL my friend on destiny i found either through playing with them or through another friend. it not hard to max out your friends list so you always have someone on.

There is Matchmaking for 28. If you find someone you play well with, you can add them, and have someone to play the hugger modes with. PvE matchmaking has proven only one thing to me. Randoms are generally unreliable. Having people leave your hour long level 34 game constantly would be more detrimental to the game than helpful. You see how often it happens in ROCs? That would only be worse for an endgame activity like PoE

If you haven't made at least a few pages of friends using LFG by now you need to look at the way you communicate with people. I don't have any friends in real life who play destiny but I've made an interesting network of friends through PVP and PVE events that I have more trouble now wondering which invite to farm keys with, run Poe with, or wreck noobs in iron banana with. The trials however, is pretty much two or three dream teams I have ready to go at a moments notice. Again, if you have trouble finding people to do events with at this point, look in the mirror bro, and step up your game... Communication skills... Or both. Silence is in league with the darkness in this game. That's why blueberries in randomly matched crucible games always get their asses handed to them by guardians with good communication.

Bungie wants to create a division amongst gamers. Only reason why Optional MM is not in game. They think every player is an idiot and can't understand to stick as a team and revive when necessary because it requires a lot of brain power to click a few buttons....lol

Not sure why the complete stupidity in this decision, since every other game has matchmaking in it. It though is just another robbery to me, since I paid full price, but only get half the content. Without matchmaking services, or some in game meeting area, I am literally locked out of content that I paid for. Before someone blows through telling me about the recruitment section, or outside websites I have done it all. It doesn't work. Either players are not on PS3, or the fact that I am in Asia currently are problems. Even tried a group, but nope they are all on PS4. All my friends as well are on Xbox, and though I have a 360, I have Destiny on PS3. I have NO problems getting match made to players in Weekly Strikes.

Destiny's lack of optional matchmaking is, for me, by [i]far[/i] the most baffling decision in Bungie's handling of this game.

I guess their main decision by not implementing matchmaking is to counter afkers and griefers. Still, the fact that there is no optional matchmaking is simply astounding to me and I just look at the screen and shake my head every time I am forced to type lfg into the recruitment section.

9 RepliesThere are obviously huge egos at bungie they arent interested in 80% ofthe players who havent done a raid because of no matchmaking. There is no reason other than someone at bungie who cant concede that they made a wrong decision and implement OPTIONAL MATCHMAKING for ALL ENDGAME CONTENT, except maybe hard mode raids and lvl 35 PoE. No one at bungie will ever comment on these posts. Yes I use the lfg sites to do nightfall bevause I dont have a choice. If there are options in game to choose what classes you want on your team, what lvl they are, whether they have a mic or not, etc... almost no one would use lfg sites anymore if you could do itin game. Its assinine for bungie to exclude so many players who would otherwise play the endgame content. Look at the trophy info for percentage of players who have completed raids. I have asked many times for a reply from bungie as to why not have optional MM and have never gotten a response, that tells me THEY DONT CARE as long as the money keeps rolling in. They will comment on things like facial hair for gaurdians, but not matchmaking. Way to cater to your customers bungie. I like destiny, but matchmaking should have been there since day one. I dont think they realize how many more people would still play and play endgame content if they didnt have to leave the game to find someone to play with. My 2 cents, I dont expect a reply from anyone at bunie, they never do.

In all honesty, I believe it is because Bungie wants to dictate how you play. Great games don't do this in their design and promote player choice.

It does. But the reason alot of activities dont is because you are supposed to join a group bungie has built the game around this.

I agree. I've done PoE 32 twice today with teams that did zero communication. I'm sure PoE34 is hard for a 33, artificial difficulty but that only extends the content and the streamers can still race through it.
