On 34 the weapon core and Etheric Light are guaranteed drops. You do not need to open the chest. On 35 the weapon and armour cores along with the Etheric Light are guaranteed drops. You do not need to open the chest but if you do you'll get a class item, shader and emblem that are exclusive to the 35 PoE. If you choose to turn in the armour core and weapon core to Variks for Judgement's Chance then you have a chance at PoE weapons and armour that are not available from Variks' Inventory that week. Feel free to correct me if I'm wrong. It wouldn't be the internet if you didn't![/quote] EDIT 2: Exotic bounties You don't need to open the chest to get an exotic bounty. It pops up randomly after defeating a boss, only on levels 34 and 35! It's not yet been confirmed if the exotic bounty can drop after a second completion of the same lvl PoE on the same character same week. It appears that the rolls for legendary and exotic guns are all random and can be obtained from any difficulty lvl chest. The key that is used will disappear once used on any chest! EDIT 4: Chest timer and keys Be aware that the chest is on a timer therefore once opened you only have around 30 seconds to grab it. It's polite to wait for all guardians to be in the chest room before opening. Keys can be obtained by doing new story missions, bounties, grinding on patrol, ROC strikes and PoE. EDIT 5: Joining during PoE You can join your friends at any wave in PoE if you lag out or get disconnected. You can also leave to purchase heavy ammo etc and then join back in. At wave 5 you need to wipe and let your friend join it may take few attempts. However I haven't tried joining just before the chest is opened, I can only assume this will not be allowed and you will receive a message "this activity is about to end" Thanks to Gavrael [quote]I'll help with your lag-out/rejoin timing. Large treasure chest. This is not on any lockout. In order to open it, you need to complete a PoE and you need key. 4. Small treasure chests. You can get these every time you complete any PoE mode. It appears that you get a guaranteed exotic for the first chest you open each week with each character. You still have a chance of exotic after the first. Edit: I have read that there is a chance of bothy the queens gear and the fallen themed gear from 32+. Only queens gear for 28.
