Now this is simply my personal opinion, but ESO is coming out in the next couple of weeks and I find the game will fall harder than it did on PC.
The reasons below are listed:
1) The Witcher 3 with 200 hours
2) Fear of the 'PC Review'
3) No keyboard chat (only mic so far)
4) No difficulty adjustments
5) Heavensward (this is for the PS4 particularly)
6) Class restriction
7) Lack of true boss fights
8) PC will get the attention.
Reason 5 is really a PS4 specific, but is a reason that cannot be ignored due to the huge success of FFXIV, and how it features cross play with PS3, PS4, and PC whereas ESO will be limited to the console. Reason 8 is one I feel will definitely happen. I believe PC will get more patches, faster fixes, and a stronger community than any of console players. I believe it will be another D3 fate, which was successful but the hacks (three gemstones for one legendary) truly ruined the game for console players.
Once again, these are my opinions, what do you all think?

1 ReplyI'm all about Heavensward when it drops. ESO is coming way too late for me to care.

I honestly think it will thrive on console. The only other true MMO on X1 is Neverwinter, which is good, but not good enough to not be able to move on from. I think many console players (like myself) have just gotten a taste of this genre through that FTP Neverwinter, so we're eager for more. It just so happens ESO will be the first to drop so I'd believe many will buy it. It also carries the ES title which will bring brand loyal fans as well. Its a shame, but regardless of gameplay, I think it will sell very well on console. Your point on the PC part i see completey the opposite, seems to me like the PC launch was almost like a massive beta for the console launch. Glad they were able to work out so many of those issues on the PC guys before selling it on console.

1 ReplyESO is not limited to PS4/Xbox One?

9 RepliesYou missed the obvious failure... Bethesda can't make console games that aren't completely riddled with framerate glitches. Like, really bad framerate drops, worst I've ever seen. How can I expect them to make a stable online game, when single-player has such massive issues
