I honestly would've rather seen 9x the damage. The way that it is now just doubles golden gun's potential damage but only 1 shot. 3x would've been cool.
Keeping the original 3 shots but doubling the damage of each would've been nice too.

That idea wouldn't fly by Bungie or the rest of the comunity. The idea is that there needs to be balance, or something to sacrifice in return for the damage. 6x damage means that you only have one chance to hit the enemy, so a 2x damage perk would likely make it only have 2 shots (which evens out with the Achlyophage Symbiote helmet already). As for a 9x multiplier, there would have to be a ridiculous reduction in charge time and accuracy. It would take twice as long to charge your super, effectively negating the damage bonus. The configuration of the helmet as it currently stands is, in my opinion, the best reasonable configuration that has been suggested as of now.
