Golden gun with new helm does more damage than...
Ghorn 7 ghorn shots does 37000 damage and the gg with celestial nighthawk dies 35000 damage with one shot goodbye atheon
Edit: My math was wrong the first time one shot does 21000 damage but over all you can use your suoer about 4 times in one times vengence

1 ReplyEdited by generic_name_415: 5/18/2015 5:05:41 PMIcebreaker does 14,xxx per crit hit and it is possible to land 7 of those, switch to heavy and empty it, and still have TWO MORE chances at Icebreaker shots. that's a possible 9 x 14,xxx damage from the Icebreaker alone WITHOUT weapons of light. with you're looking at 9 x 19,xxx. why anyone does anything other than this baffles me, unless you're experimenting edit - landing crits with Black Hammer over and over is also great

1 ReplyI personally don't run raids on normal anymore, it's really not even a consideration for most people, but it seems theres always confusion in these kill Atheon/best load-out posts. Normal mode Atheon could probably get killed on one teleport by a good team using TDB rare weapons. As long as most or all of a team us either using rockets or sniper/machine guns then there is no issue. Ever. The only issue on Atheon is the guy using The Last Word because its his best weapon (insert whatever the dumbest thing you've seen is).

Even with double damage, it's not worth using on atheon. primaries will do more dps.

To get an idea of what it'll do, use your golden gun on a boss, hit him with all three shots. It'll be twice that damage. Yes, it'll be awesome that GG will be more effective against majors but you're blowing this out of proportion

21 RepliesGjallahorn or any other rocket on Aetheon just makes him move around too much... Same goes for grenades... Veterans like myself who play "boring" yet "effective", use snipers, primaries and machine guns on aetheon so he stays in one place and we can kill aetheon in one run. 5 black hammer snipers with weapons of light will melt aetheon quick... Your welcome...

Since GG is unaffected by Times Vengeance and only does 1200 damage per shot without, with will be does roughly 7200 damage per shot. 4 x 7200 28800 damage per cycle. Black Hammer does 18,000 per shot without WOL. Dealing easily 10 shots means at least 180000 per cycle. Your data is wrong. Please fix. Edit: With Ghorn doing 22k x 7 per run that is 154000 per person per run. X 5 people that is 770,000 per run minimum. GG can do a maximum of 144,000 per run with 5 people. Do the math, GG will be very useful in Solar Burn (it already is...), but not against Atheon.

1 ReplyI can't wait to try this out... Weapons of Light won't improve Golden Gun but your super fills extremely fast during Times Vengeance so even though it drops your shot to one it will refill again 2,3,4 shots... 6 x damage, one teleport Atheon here we come!

7 RepliesWhat math do you use to get 35k? Golden gun does less than 2k on atheon. Therefore golden gun with celestial nighthawk will be no more than 12k. Still better to use fatebringer

14 RepliesGg on hm atheon does like 1200 damage. So that makes it around 7200 per shot.. A sniper with titan bubble does around 18k per shot.
