Triple and quad chest looting....
Is it sad or funny that this slipped by the devs b4 release?

26 RepliesMe driving my sparrow on a normal day: smooth, epic cornering, and high speeds. Driving my sparrow during ether key countdown: hits every rock/tree, gets stuck in corners, flipping immediately upon boost. Fml

1 ReplyOh they know. But its probably one of those things that would take considerable time to fix that has many different consequences if they don't fix it perfectly. Like the heavy ammo synth thing. Since the chests give out useless stuff 98% of the time, they probably figure it isn't something that is important enough to fix right now. Plus the amount if time and effort it takes to farm one key from a chest is irrelevant when you get a guaranteed key at the end of the matchmaking version of PoE, which apparently only take about 30 mins to complete.

Been a known exploit from day one. When material was scarce and not sold by vendors we used to have to do the "Chest Run" on various planets to get enough to level up gear. As such various farming routes were created. Bungie even set the chesr respawn rate to account for multiple guardians needing to do the same runs multiple times. It's therefore arguable that the ether key timer isn't deliberate. I say this because the key, as long as active, opens ANY ether key chest so you can run from embers to citadel and get two chests that way while your buddies at citadel run from citadel to embers. Your key opens both. though obviously you will not get the bounty if you have that. I don't think this slipped by the devs at all. If the rare engrams we are all now being forced to hoard all turn into motes of light then we have in fact been trolled.

3 RepliesIt's neither. I don't really get why people get upset or bother about such things. Like people that really get annoyed that the heavy ammo glitch exists or that people were using a loot cave. I don't care either way.

This had been around since day 1. Pretty sure they were well aware of it when they put in the HoW bounties

I am super appreciative of this glitch. I only have two keys but both were obtained from a second or third loot run.

I don't think its a slip. If they weren't meant to farm they would just code the chest contents to despawn after looting it. I think its to keep is busy lol

You've been able to loot chests in this manner since launch. It's noting new.

4 RepliesI think it was always intended that we would obtain multiple loot drops from the same chest. The drop rate for the treasure keys is fairly outrageously low. I know many players who have probably done around 150-200 chests and are still sitting on zero keys. This would be even more common if the chests were restricted to a single opening. Not to mention, it's hilarious knocking people off their sparrows, ruining their momentum and costing them precious seconds =). Friendships have been ruined because of this.

3 RepliesIt's not a big deal. I opened a hundred or more and got mostly blue engrams. 3 Legendaries and 1 Key. I'm sure Bungie is laughing at me right now.
