My point is, there's a lot of stuff wrong with this game, there's also a lot of things right.
People get handed stuff all the time. Worry about your own game not theirs

i am worried about my game. if none of the items sold were able to be brought into games i am in, then there would be no issue whatsoever. what others have affects my game. i strongly disagree with the concept of there being a vendor that shows up every single week and sells the highest tier of loot in a loot-based game. it devalues what others have worked hard to get, in most cases. this was deej posting his opinion. i was posting mine. you may not agree with me, but my argument is valid

how could something another player has effect your game? your weapons and armor have no value to begin with as there is no economy/trading in this game. if anything it promotes better gear for more players geared for the challenges. argument very invalid................

like the guy before knew i would say, there is a pvp component to this game. if there wasn't, it would still kind of devalue loot when everyone has it. just because it doesn't have a tangible economic value, like you speak of, does not mean there is no value to the individual. but that is not the main reason. the main reason is the pvp component to the game.

the value you set on these items is your own, you have the same opportunity to gain these same weapons and gear either by vendor or drop. the gear another player wields has no effect on you being able to kill anything, clear any activity, or boot up your game. no matter what another player/ the gear they have, has no effect on you, your game, or play style. if it's your feelings coming into play, you should sit down and reevaluate what is truly important in your life as digital items are not that serious.

whether it is to you or not, this game and video games in general have an important place in my life. i have put a lot of time and effort into this game and others like it. i put in significantly more hours than most of the community in order to obtain what i have. when a vendor gives the items away for what can be obtained through running around the cosmodrome, i have a problem with that. again, this is a forum: the place for opinions and discussion. i am not the only one that feels this way. countless others share in my feelings. every piece of solid gear i have has come as a result of completing the highest levels of content available, and doing so repeatedly, efficiently, and often. if there were no pvp component, perhaps we wouldn't be having this discussion. but there is.

you still seem to miss the point. games are fun, and can have an role in your life, but what someone else has or does has no bearing on you and your game. it's tantamount to being upset at your neighbor for winning a car that you bought. just enjoy your game, acquire what you want and have fun, you spoil your own game pleasure by worrying over pointless things
-
you're missing the competitive aspect to the game. it is a competitive game. i don't necessarily consider life to be competitive, at least i am not competitive in that way. there i am looking to help the next guy out, finish second etc. but that is not the purpose of a competitive game.
