Behind the door, Akron grew uneasy. He waited for a brief moment, then kicked the door down, tackled (Vale right?) Vale and held him at swordpoint

[spoiler]Valeyard[/spoiler] I whip around the corner and confront Akron. "Stop it!!!" I yell. "Friend not foe!!!"

*I carefully nudge the edge of your sword away from my neck* "Please don't do that again. We are simply travelers who have lost our way."

Akron stares in shock for a moment. Then his eyes narrowed to slits. "Get out of my head."

As he stares Nikki steps forward. The hope in her chest rises to her eyes. "Akron I..." She is stopped as he recoils from her and she stares in a frightful fear.

I am now surprised. Almost fearful, but I reach out to place a hand on your shoulder. "Akron stop! It's me Nikki and Valeyard!"

"He does not know us, Nikki. After all, who knows when or where we are."

"No he has to! Valeyard, I... I cannot bear to lose him like this."

Akron points his sword at Nikki "prove it."

Frantically I attempt to prove to you who I am. "At the Doctors back at the Golden City Oshirik talked to me before you recovered. I asked you who he was and it surprised you. Later after I rested I fell asleep and rested on your shoulder while we talked on the bench outside the Doctors house?"

"N-Nikki? What are you doing here." Akron put away his sword and got off Valeyard. "You shouldn't be here."

*I lie on the ground, still talking to myself*

I hug you tightly. "Oshirik brought me here, it must be a little ok."

"I apologize for that. With the gods fighting the balance of nature upsets itself. I didn't know what was reality or madness. Speaking of madness [i]what [/i] are you doing here! Are you out of your mind! And what about this new guy? He's already lost his mind." Akron is furious, he's pacing and shaking his head as if this was just a dream that he would wake from soon.

I chuckle a little. Relieved that you are not going to harm me or Valeyard. "He is a little odd, but Akron it is me. Oshirik brought me here because I asked to be here... With you." My eyes focus on you and I reach out for your hand. "I promised you I would follow you wherever you go. Akron, won't you look at me? I came all the way here for you and I'm not going anywhere."

"Of course you are. You and Valeyard are going back, even if I have to shadow travel you all the way back." Akron puts his hand over his face "are you out of your mind? Do you have any idea how dangerous it is here? This isn't some one-sided war where me and you and a bunch of champions clash against some evil and win. It's a battle of existence here. The gods are fighting, their mortals are fighting. People are dying every day while the immortals clash swords. Heroes don't get happy endings here. I've seen too many good people die while the chaos around them survives."

I point to Valeyard. "Take him back then... But I will stay. What happy ending is there for me if you are not there?" My eyes search yours out. "Akron, I came here to be with you. That objective is clearly more important to me than anyone or thing else." As the serious tone sets in and I really see the frustration mounting on the situation I attempt a bit of humor. "And anyway, maybe if I am here you will actually succeed. I'll be your good luck charm!"

Akron has taken on a deadly serious tone. He speaks in a calm and slightly commanding voice. "No. You're both going. I'm not going to risk both of you dying here. You're both needed back there. I'm not. I belong here, whatever happens to me here it was meant to be. If I return later that was meant to be too. Besides, Cyber needs you back there."

I begin to argue, a stalwart and stubborn side coming out of me. "NO. You cannot make me. Akron I refuse to leave you! You will not, Lord, around me like you own me! Or act like you can just dismiss me."

"Well then I don't need you here! I can fend for myself just fine! I've done it for years. Why do I need help now! If anything you've made it worse for me. Look at me!" Akron tore off the shirt he was wearing. Underneath lay healing scars and scabs from his time in the golden city. "I certainly didn't have those before I came! I would have been done with my mission and been on my damn way but why did i choose compassion this time! Why I wonder. Now take this Vale and leave! NOW." Akron turned his back on Nikki. Before he turned there seemed to be a very painful regret in his eyes.

Infuriated and annoyed I am quite unwillingly to leave this at just that. I also don't know how to get back. So instead in my annoyance I open handedly smack the back of your head. "Akron Stormbringer, don't you dare walk away from me. Each of the wounds you brought upon yourself, for a reason. If that reason is me than you did it for something bigger than yourself, because I didn't for you." "Man up and take responsibility! Even better grow up!"

*A laugh escapes my hands as I try to stop myself*

The blow made her fall unconscious. "He caught her before she could fall. Akron looked at Vale "you coming quietly or am I going to have to hit you too?"

"I have no idea really, this was all her idea. But however, I do not recommend hitting me."

"Good. Then hold still. Akron grabbed Vale and used the shadow travel to take the three of them somewhere else."[spoiler]gonna repost now[/spoiler]
