For those who are being over stocked with ammo synths here is a way to dump them at a decent speed:
Start up Nightfall mission(this is so you can start a mission fast, with no matchmaking as the mission button is right there after clicking "Set Destination"
after you start the mission as it loads you can use a synth. Either wait for it to completely load, or use it while it is loading..
Then, swap characters and repeat above steps cycling through all your characters. If you have three characters, based on your load time, by the time you get back to character 1, after cycling through characters 2 and 3, your timer should be complete or at the very least nearly complete. Depending on if you wait till you hit the ground or not.
This allows you to use up 3 synths within the 5 minute time period between synths.

You only get a surplus if you loot a chest more than once because while you are waiting for the next wolves to drop you could have already eaten two or three synths This method may be time consuming and keep you from farming for a bit, but clears the inventory the fastest that i know of
