So since the drops from the ether chest are coded for HoW, does that's mean all the legendary and exotic engrams I've saved up are coded for dark below and the non expansion part?

Bungie stated to save your legendary engrams that you get from the Queen's chests. They will decide into HoW stuff.

Every destiny Youtuber has covered that and even Bungie has said so in the past. Decrypt those but save your public event packages because opening them gives rep to your equipped items and you'll want that for the new gear.

2 things: 1) Unlike the usual responses around this forum of "scrub" etc I took the time to answer a question by a fellow Destiny player in order to save them some time (and vault space). Most people would prefer not to be disappointed. 2) By asking this question you in fact are taking time to do research on a game. There was no attitude at all in the post and you misread that. Anyway, you are welcome for the info even if you were not courteous enough to say a simple thank you because you inferred "attitude" when there was none.
