Question on the house of wolves patch notes due to role out next week:

Original Release, HoW and tDB gear can all be leveled up to the highest level in HoW. The Taken King starts the Year 2 of Destiny.

After the next "year" of destiny, all of our weapons/gear will be maxed at the 365 rating, to pave the way for Comet, and all of its new guns/geat and such things. Essentially a whole new game.

Surely this doesn't apply to exotic items. Bungie can't seriously think that getting rid of gjallarhorn after only a year is a good idea on any level.
